Hello folks,
Thinking about resubscribing to Aion but I am aware of some trouble with using a Proxy to reduce ping. I live in Australia and playing the game without this is barely possible. Does anyone know anything about the current rulings about this?
TY!

Oh! And i need to know how big the download is for any patches I will need.
NA/EU retail version is 1.5, so to get to the current version you would have to download... I think between 500mb and 1gb, I'm not 100% sure. In around 2months though, there's a huge patch (v1.9) incoming that is around 2.4gbs.
Concerning proxies I don't think there are issues at all, seeing as a lot of people use them (I don't) and according to them it's unplayable without them. You might have read some comments after the last 2 fix patches, which messed it up for people using proxies, but these were fixed a couple of hours later in both cases.
Seriously hoping someone here can help me. I have set up the proxy but not paid for it yet, and have installed and patched Aion but have not paid for that either, but when I load the log -in screen and then quit I get an annoying message:
Windows cannot find
...://www.aiononline.com/?utm_source=gameclient&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaig...
Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again
It occurs to me that maybe this means I cannot have it automatically go to the home page but worried it could be a sign of something worse. I would love to get this sorted out before I start paying for time. So, what is this and how do I fix it?
Thanks!
Someone on the official forums for Aion told me something about leatrix latency fix. Apparently it can bring your ping down from 500 to 50~100 and it won't get you banned or anything. Has something to do with Nagle's Algorythm. I don't know much about this, should maybe search it up.
