There's nothing stopping you training your skills entirely on other players. Bloodwalls are no longer so enticing due to the increased gains with PvE, but you can still max anything you want on other players. It's your choice to wrack up thousands of PvE kills!
MMOluva and Crittrocket - What are your PvE and PvP death counts?
Darkfall needs months of a huge PvE grind before you have a respectable chance of winning in PvP.
That is not true at all.
It takes two months tops before you have a chance against a veteran player's main character, that is mostly accurate, however you have every opportunity to seek out players who are more suited to your characters level of development and PvP against them during that period of time.
These are fights that new players have every opportunity to win, and make no mistake about it there are plenty of them around to PvP with. You need to seize the initiative and seek them out.
I have to question whether you do play at all, yes I know you claim you do, but to be entirely frank the way you have described your experiences with the game are so far off the mark in terms of how the game actually is that I would be a fool not to question it.
My clan takes in new players every week, those new players are pvp'ing before the end of there first week ingame, that is a fact and whether you do or do not choose to take my word for it really makes no difference to me (I've seen your posting history and you have quite the habit of slinging insults and rhetoric around when someone debates you, blanket generalizations and misinformation are your chosen tools of the trade ninety percent of the time).
The difference is that you are stuck with a lackluster experience when it could be so much more, you just are not willing to take the time and effort to utilize the options available that would allow you to have a richer experience.
after a lot of skepticism even wile trying this game out yesterday i fell in love with DF. it was so simple yet so profound. it was such an innocent question that started it all ....."are there any cc in this game?" and, like a shower of petals from heaven, someone wispered "no, not really". YYYYYEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!! FINALY! no more "CAN'T DO THAT WILE stunned/feared/incapacitated/immobilizes/cycloned/mindcontrolled/blinded/silenced/rooted/dazed/sleeped/etc/etc/ect. NO MORE!!!!! i'm here to stay boys.
uhm there is one "CC" spell and it is called "wall of force"! It is like a big round bubble you will hate it!
Apparently I'm not PvP viable about a month after starting and yet here I am with scale/bone armor, a R40 sword, bow, staff and almost max archery and 20 GS mastery. Damn you grind!!!! Why do you taunt me!?

Mines in my signature. My PVE Kill count is not correct atm it's a lot higher than that. I'm AFKing atm and after the next cycle of casts I'll update the signature.

Well your main problem in your set up is your gear. Get r50s and plate (both easy to get) you'll be pvp viable. Rank 40 really is the poor man's standard and only decent in group fights.
World of Warcraft is the best PVP game Darkfall is the best PVE game
You are a confused man.
He's aware of what he's doing, there is no confusion whatsoever.

mmoluva should really be banned for trolling
Was a joke heh. Sarcasm. Also, I prefer scale and bone combo since I mainly go archery. Archery is gimped by plate, so it's by choice.
One Eve player told me that he've fallen asleep during PvP ... If fighting does not require constant attention and twitch skills - it means that people can create fleet of alts - and defeat any solo player,
Someone should make EvE with dynamic combat, manual aiming al'a X-wing vs Tie-fighter, with huge ships manned by multiple players (al'a Darkfall ships) - and then we would have ultimate PvP game.
The only 3 MMOs I have been playing the past few months are: DFO, FE, and EvE. Each have pros and cons. For PvP DFO easily...I played EvE for 3 months and just couldn't do the pvp..its more than in DFO and FE needs work in that category. FE is still my favorite followed by DFO, then EvE.
If Darkfall is not the best MMO out there what MMO is?
eve online
EVE? LOL, all ships come in to a system stay still and you hit your skills on an auto targeted other ship? Oh please, that's the most boring form on PVP. DF can push same numbers as EVE in a battle and have everybody moving in real time and have to aim properly,
I actually find PvP in WAR more enjoyable than PvP in DFO.
Can you tell us why?
I can think of a few off the top of my head (this from playing the first month or so of launch):
- Realm vs. Realm (personal preference, but I enjoy seeing people work together that aren't in a guild)
- Graphics & Art Style - It doesn't lag me to death when I try to PvP, this is being on a system that used to run Crysis on high/max.
- Battlegrounds - queuing for battlegrounds can give a more satisfying experience because both sides are somewhat equal.
- Keep combat - slightly boring, but it offers the ability for large groups of people to defend their keeps without any knowledge if they're in an alliance.
- Characters and Progression - large amount of unique skills pinned for each class, PvP allows for more experience to be obtained over PvE.
- Those PvE quest gathering things... forgot the name.
- Built for casuals or for a pick me up and play. I'm sorry, but when I play a game I want entertainment.. grinding is not entertainment nor is it 'hardcore'. Doing countless FUN battlegrounds given if it takes 10,000 of them, is not a grind and therefore it can be considered 'hardcore' because of the large amount needed to obtain a goal or objective (not saying WAR is has countless fun battlegrounds by any means.. just an example).
Just off the top of my head...
For me WAR was good fun when it first came out but boring real fast. Same old same old clones of games we have played for the last few years. Its only now I see the mmo market moving forward again, but thats only just starting to happen.

Nice accomplishment but in reality to everyone else Darkfall is grindy, its not bad if you enjoy it though.

I played EQ2 for 9 months and I felt that DF in ALL aspects was much much better. Better PvE, better exploring, better graphics, better core engine.
Thing is, that is really my only MMO experience outside of NWN which YES is a mini MMO engine
