Cyan Worlds plans are to move Myst Online: Uru Lagain (MO:UL) to open source now includes free access to the game since development was suspended in 2004 and canceled in 2008 (business reasons...the company was forced to layoff all but seven employees in November 2008).

Myst Online: Uru Live is a massive multiplayer online game (MMOG) unlike anything else. Instead of repetitive kill/take/buy gameplay of other MMOGs, the very essence of Myst Online is to explore vast, fantastic worlds; savoring and uncovering new areas and new information at every turn.
Myst retailed in September 1993.

This game looks very refreshing and fun, I'll definitely be trying it.
Wew, awesome news, thanks! I just don't understand why they set up no paypal-payment system like atitd does and let those paying in first come first serve. I can't believe Myst would be impossible to sustain itself as a niche game.
Played: Pretty much any fantasy MMO, some did not even make it to release ...
