Global Agenda 1.2 - so far

PVE:

MMO changes:

The single most significant change we are planning to release is a 'open world' type of PvE gameplay located around Dome City. The missions are based on helping Dome City stay intact against enemies, sabotage, and maintaining support infrastructure.

The key features for this zone are the following:

* A large area that has a number of different repeatable PvE type missions given out by NPCs

* Missions will be available for different size groups (ranging from Solo to 10 person teams)

* Different PvE Objective types (like defending an area against waves of enemies)

* Multiple groups/players playing in the same zone (we are trying to find a good balance of how many currently)

* Zone will have safe and unsafe spots (unsafe meaning other players can damage/kill you)

* Players can come in/out of area easily and be in Queue for regular PvP, PvE, and AvA missions while in the zone

Our intentions are to release the following before the end of March so players can get a feel for some the the ongoing MMO type of content to be expected in the future.

If all goes well, we would like to release an additional open zone before the end of April which will have even more interesting game play.

Loot and Crafting

* New crafting and loot will be available for creating Rare and Epic weapons and devices

"One other note is that the new Rare and Epic weapons will require levels between 30 and 50. Now you know what those are for (besides dyes and suits)"

PVP:

4vs4 arena pvp forum.globalagendagame.com/gablog/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/mission_pvp.png

"The 4v4 Arena will actually not be in the 1.1 patch. You'll see that in the 1.2 patch when it releases in a couple weeks. (By the way, it's one of my favorite Global Agenda game modes -- 4 on 4 intense pvp)."

"One of the two new 4v4 maps is a vertical map"

World PVP

"The implementation we are testing are large outdoor maps that allow more players to be in them then anything currently in the game. Currently testing about 30-50 players in a map, final number will depend on how well the engine will handle things for everyone.

More info will be available as we get closer to the public test."

New Qs

In addition to AvA changes new Qs will be available for 4v4 and 10v10 premade teams. In the future more functionality will be added to those Qs for arena/ladder type reporting and rewards.

    Notes from the dev chat.

-The new "open world" areas are not like EQ or wow, but are large spaces that could take several minutes to cross. There will be 2 types: a pve area with repeatable missions from the mission screen (instead of NPCs with text to scroll, though these will be along at some point.) The content is designed for both solo players and teams of up to 10.

-The other is a pvp area where youre pitted up in 2 large teams against each other with smaller pvp sub goals. No idea how big these teams are, but they have already stated theyre testing 30-50 player stuff, so I guess 15 vs 15 or 25 vs 25 is a possiblity?

-Groups can enter or leave these areas at will and can still queue for ava/pvp/pve missions whilst in it.

-2 new AVA updates: theft game play mode which i think is like payload, and new defense facilities.

-Consumables may be coming to the game at some point and will be made through crafting. These wouldnt be health pots, but used more as a buffing tool.

-They are going to add more to the core game (the free bits) but all other new content such as the open world stuff and new cosmetics will be sub only.

I was excited until I saw the "open world" bits would be sub-only.  Unless you are in a large Agency Alliance, AvA stinks.  I have no reason to sub, because I have no intention of playing AvA.  However, my guess is that this "open world" enhancement will remove many many players from the PvE queues, which can already be pretty empty.  That means, to do more than a statndard PvP 10v10, you would HAVE to sub.  The game, for what it provides, is not worth the sub price in my opinion.

Hopefully they will see the light and offer these items as a mini-expansion, for $5 or $10, so that those of us that don't participate in AvA have a reason to continue playing the game.

a well,, i love this game just as it is,  all i want is more maps to play on. and pherhaps some more PVP mods:D

I WANT A SCI-FI MMO!! (NOT EVE, or Fom, or FE)

They need to either lower the sub price to something more fitting the amount of content youre getting or scrap it altogether and make new stuff RMT.

I'd also like that idea too. I wouldn't mind buying mini expanion packs but if it is for only subscribers then I'll probably not play again. The game is okay for me to just play a couple of rounds in PvP but thats it, also I think PvE is really boring in this game which I need to do to get crafting materials.

I'd rather earn them through PvP if it was posible or maybe it would be unbalanced somehow I don't know.

I would prefer if they left consumables out myself.
