Been playing for about a week now gotta level 16 brute and 13 mage. Seems to be ok so far. At this point FOD does not seem to be a big issue ,but later on down the road it can be a potential problem. Im also hearing the new patch is ridiculous , but idk guess will have to wait and see. ATM im having alot of fun with the game. Once it gets tot the point of becoming a hassle , and have to purchase purfumes every week. then i will probably stop playing. but if this is true that you can buy purfumes with gold and collect them from daily quest rewards i dont see a big problem here. Gpotato is well known for overpriced CS's. $40 for a mount in flyff.  And yes the gold spamming got really bad ..i watched 2 of the same gold spammers spam for a whole day solid and Gpot. didnt lift a finger to stop it. At this point i give the game 8 out of 10. Get a new company running it and toss out Gpot. We might have a serious F2p game with its loads of potential.

I am an 18 summoner and I have yet to encounter the bug where if my pet kills something I dont get credit for it, Now if i put my pet to aggressive I dont get a darn thing because thats a game mechanic so a summoner cant afk grind xp!!

Umm, no offense but why are there so many Allods related articles at mmorpg.com, lately? I mean sure, its ur job, but it seems that Allods Online is somehow getting a little extra special treatment form you guys! ;:D

And a little more from me - here you can read about latest developments (aka patches).

More attention can be a bad thing too. In case of AO it is a bad thing, as each patch/piece of news brings it closer to... well... definitely not greater popularity.

Perfume price drop from $13.50 a stack to $3. No patch .07 (yet...)

The reduced prices aren't quite reduced enough.  The initial prices shook my faith in this game too much.  I played since CB1, and was really excited to see where Allods was going... but my trust is gone...  Even if the perfumes don't cost an arm and a leg, the game is still progressing in the direction of forcing you to spend money, rather than making me want to to support a great game.  It may come out to the same amount of cash, but it feels different, and I'm not as interested as I used to be.

    Important facts:
    1. Free to Play games are poorly made.
    2. Casuals are not all idiots, but idiots call themselves casuals.
    3. Great solo and group content are not mutually exclusive, but they suffer when one is shoved into the mold of the other. The same is true of PvP and PvE.
    4. Community is more important than you think.

Why is it exacrtly the reviewer feels that paying roughly $50 dollars a month to play this game isn't a big deal? the whole lets give them a pass because its a cash shop instead of a subscription puzzles me. If it were a MMO asking a $50 a month subscription you can bet the author would be discussing the price and not giving it a pass.

While its true Allods cash shop min cost isn't fixed yet. (It could very well be even more costly once fully released) a $50 a month minium cash shop investment to play the game at a moderate (not hardcore) pace is to me a major Issue. if ones gonna set aside almost all discussion of cost then they should review the released product as it stands without and cash investment (or free reviewer goodies) so players know exactly how much of a grind it will be to eek out levels above 10 etc.

I'm lvl 28 and i have to say that this game has gone from best hit to garbage... Every week  the allod team makes mistakes over mistakes it's not improving but getting worst. I fear that this game will fail before launch and if not it will die within the first year.

If you don't buy Cash shop shit you are stuck with FoD that goes up 1 minute per lvl meaning at lv 40 if you die and do not have perfum you have 17 min of FoD. And not to mention that they got a flag system if you don't want to pvp but hry it does not work if one find's a war banner... all these little things makes the game we loved a piece of trash...

I've played since ob and have lvl 21 priest, lvl 19 warrior. There are many bugs in this game.

When trying to read quest the box will disappear in a few seconds, everytime a new person runs up and clicks on them.

Some spells you can precast, but often times that doesn't work but it sucks the mana cost anyway and you have to start over.

Lag and crash's or pretty normal, espicially as new mobs spawn.

well there are many but after all of my hours playing this game its hardly worth my  time to list them all, most have been said already.

The high prices have been mentioned. But besides perfumes cs has potions that up your stats greatly and they cost $2 to $3 and only last 30 minutes. It's a huge cash sucktion game. Pay to win like most f2p's.

It's a good looking game but nothing new. Not worth all the hype being made of it.

I'm so tired of being told to go kill ten wolves...i'm sure not going to pay $5 an hour to do it.

1st: caps lock spam is blocked by the spam blocker, so idk what u're talking about

2nd: mini map is rlly unnecessary as u said

    3rd:fyi incendiary sux

4th: in case ppl think far away res is bad: summoners can res u later on for pvp, and just immediately ressing without punishment is stupid

5th: FoD can be removed by myrrh (new patch, plz don't put ppl off the game with old info)

7th: standard subscrip=incense for pvpers, but i don't have trouble finding unincensed ppl, so IMO its not a problem.

This game was destroyed by the "you must use the item shop... ALOT" patch. It's no longer worth playing no any level.

The game has changed a lot in a good way. They now have quests where you can get incense, exp scrolls, and holy charms for free, so people can't really complain anymore.

  • YarunaYaruna Member Posts: 342

People can always complain, never underestimate people's ability to complain. :)

Waiting for Guild Wars 2, and maybe SWTOR until that time...

Yeah, but they had a great idea, where they tripled the XP needed to lvl after lvl 25, without adding more quests.

3x Hurray to a week of non-stop grinding!

I do agree though, the cash shop as is now on an acceptable level :)

If they didn't increase exp then everyone would be max level. Only took players a couple of weeks to get max level before the change. This aint Gulids Wars XD
