I have tried to download the game from the Cabal Online website's links, first from Fileplanet and then from the GamersHell or whatever it is via bitTorrent.
Both times I was able to download successfully, but then the unzipping process froze in the last 5% or so on BOTH the fileplanet download manager application and the windows explorer directory system in Windows 7...
I mean seriously, is there any way to DL the client and install it that actually f-ing works?

add firefox as a 2nd browser load file in firefox run set up install then remove firefox if you wish
there are now and always has been issues with the download it will never be fixxed
this is not the type of game that fixes any problem the just wont do it its 100% up to the players to work ways around problems . but befor you say well dam that game then , you can still have fun playing you just got to work around the many glitchs , bots , gold spammers , hackers , and max lvl nothing better to do no life having players that sit at the gate where new players come in and pk them.
it can be done there is a block player function in your buddy list to unvoice the spammers . the bots ive never found a cure but really there not a great issue untill around lvl 85-90 then you quit or lose all your honor killing bots to finish your quests . never take PM messaging from unknows and never download cheat engs for use in game and you will bypass the hackers . play only in green realms untill you have learned the game and you cant be pked

If you've got the full download in .zip format try using a different extracter ie 7zip.
