Heya guys and girls!
I'm new in the forums and wanted to jump in to the discussion of Mortal Online as I'm playing the game a lot now after reading the gamasutras preview.
Wanted to join some MO fan forums and get some playing pals from here as well.
If anyone haven't seen the preview, you definitely should! It was my portal to finding MO and starting it out 
Also rock paper shotgun preview was first one I saw but didn't instantly start by then. Tough now I'm at full speed developing my character

I heard that there will be patch deployed tonight could anyone inform me about it? When will it come out? Sounds really good what i've heard what it will introduce!
I really love the community ingame and all, overall feeling towards release is great! Open and good developers, good game following steps of UO and all.
I would like to know your nicknames if possible, I currently don't have any mateys ingame but at release ofc !
Also, I got a few questions, how do I stab with my weapon? I've seen people do it and it seems to be really good with sharp weapons.
Also, how do I do emotes?

Um.....
Stabbing is accomplished by holding ATL while you attack. Emotes are /emotename in the chat bar. I believe yiou can also /emote *emote text* to do a personal emote.
Last DEV update says patch is today sometime, though that may change. They have been fairly quiet on what it will contain, though we will get to see the notes before they patch.

Overall I agree with your post, and thank you for the link to the article. Recent patches have made some very nice changes, but given quite a number of bugs to test. Honestly this game is pointing in exactly the right direction I've been wanting for a long time. I guess it helps that I also enjoyed Demon's Souls too...

A small group of us are playing in game on a weekly basis and enjoying ourselves. Typically I run around on a character in-game known as Lorian... but that changes with every wipe.

I agree with the preview in gamasutra. It's a fair preview. They understand what MO is about and can see beyond some bugs.
MO is really promising and it's good to see that Star Vault dare to go against the mainstream MMOs.
Sure there are bugs in the game but Star Vault have made many really good solutions, like experimental crafting.
I see lots of people ingame and MO has been improve the last weeks.
I am pretty sure MO will be the next big MMO, when they have added the rest of the mobs and lore and have fixed the bugs/polishing.
It's the first time since I played Everquest that I am this optimistic after having tested a MMO.

After this Mortal Online have released some patches with more feats, bug fixes and content.

I do it almost every day, it's better that the player try it them self than listen to a you or me. But some people want to play finish games without bugs, then they should wait some more time.
But I think those reviews I linked to gives a good hint what Mortal Online is about and where it's going.
Oh... I think we all know where it's going....just a matter of when. I'm figuring that it launches by next week. We shall see...

Don't think so, tough we are yet to see the latest newsletter, most likely, it will include info about release. And I think they will release very soon after the lag issue is fixed with the lightning issue, those two are the biggest and most major issue currently.

Just wondering if the OP ever responded to your request for a PM. If he was a legit player and not a viral marketer I wouldn't mind meeting him in game either.

Have you EVER seen a negative Preview of a game? Those are super-rare.. Almost all Previews are glowing lists of features and Dev-Speak. I've seen games get reviewed with an F after getting a glowing preview 5 months earlier because the game was released half-finished and bugged.
Mortal is in it's "Release Phase" so it shuldn't be too long now until the game releases. Then we can all stop Theaorycrafting about hypotheticals and find out for sure if the game will sink or swim on it's own.

But why speak about something that is yet to be seen? I mean, the more SV pushes the game back, what can you blame about? We don't know when it will release, we don't know how much fixes there will be before release, we just have to wait.

The delay at winter came pretty surprise as well, it's true that they stated the Q1 but we don't know yet. Lets just wait for the announcement.
