My Top 5 Most Anticipated MMORPG Of 2010

www.youtube.com/watch

1. Blade and Soul

2. Tera

3. Continent of the Ninth

4. Mabinogi Heroes

5. Dragon Nest

IMO Korean MMORPG PWNEDzzzz it all!! The reasons why I don't like western MMO? Firstly, the character figure, most of them looks like some big azz wrestling dude, and also they had those ugly faces setting. Secondly, the fighting styles and skills were poorly animated, that's a BIG NO NO for me.

Chinese MMO? well... I dislike'em because most of it had those botting system implemented inside the game! Which means you can use bot "legally" once u buy a botting scroll (cash shop item) or whatever they called it from their item mall, without getting ban by their GM! They actually encourage you to use bot in the game lol, freakin sucks eh!?

The only Japanese mmo I like is Monster Hunter Frontier Online, one of the best game that ever made. I think it's better categorize as MOARPG.

So for now, I'll only stick to Korean MMORPG... P2P or F2P, I'm going to play all this...

How about you? please let me know yours TOP 5 :)

~Cheers~

None of these games look worth voting for.

There are games I'm looking for, but none are MMORPGs in 2010.

Heroes of Might and Magic VI (or which the newest will be, VII maybe)

    Disciples 3 (english version)

Civilization 5 (or what the newest is)

Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)

Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)

The only one vaguely interesting to me is Blade and Soul, which looks like it plays like a fighting game.  But since all it shows is "fighting game" footage, there's no way of knowing what the actual MMO gameplay is like, if it exists at all.  So I'll probably keep my MMO's and fighting games separate, for now.

As far as the rest... I didn't know the Playstation 2 had internet access...

All these asian games are the same. Sorry but it sickens me and makes me, literally, wanna shove my head up me a-hole. Why does everything need to be so "cute" and oversized?

Altough, the combat systems that features in this trailers seem kinda fresh.

But in the end it will be the same heavily instaned games, at best 1on1 pvp, grind to the core and really no "massive" about it.

    Playing: ARMA 2
    Waiting for: Darkfall: UW
Played: Ultima Online, Age of Conan, Anarchy Online, Planetside, Dark age of Camelot, EQII, WoW, SWG, FFXI and a lot more

C9 and Mabinogi Heroes play like fighting games also

and what does the playstation 2 have to do with anything here anyways? And on top of that I guess you never played Socom online so on top of your not knowing anything about the games on the list you dont know much about the playstation either it would seem

The secret world doesn´t have a release date yet or I would have put that in there. Next year won´t be so much to look forward too really.

All statements I make is from my point of view unless stated otherwise.

Disciples 2 was a beautiful game.  I really liked the "vampires as healers" mechanic too.

By far and away I am looking forward to the release of:  The Secret World.  (Likely 2011, however...)

That game looks fantastic, and if it uses the same engine as AoC (best graphics out there, regardless of game issues) and delivers on its premise, it should be fantastic.  I can't *wait* for this game to come out.

I am also looking forward to All Points Bulletin to a lesser extent.

    Aaden Monserrat - Elder Jedi
    Starsider - <DFC> - Dark Force Clan

    Playing: ARMA 2
    Waiting for: Darkfall: UW

I'm personally not fond of the androgenous male character designs in Korean MMOs, or the Everquest like combat systems, or the rainbow of colors when I cast a spell or what-have-you. I'm going to try to temper my disdain for Korean games (and the new crop of western games) and just hope something comes out that I find fun to play.

I am glad this is your personal "Top 5" list.

In my opinion.  None of them look worth playing at all.  I cannot understand how people enjoy games that look like little kids saturday morning cartoons with a poor attempt at adding some evil or darkness to them.  The graphics are pretty awful truthfully  and the games are painfully linear and limited.  Then again, 90% of the MMO market likes that type of  game so they can play a little here and there and be on top of the food chain.  That is precisely why WoW is the juggernaut that it is.  Make a game simple enough in every regard and have that carrot on a stick attainable but always have another waiting.

  • KenaoshiKenaoshi Member UncommonPosts: 1,022

Most of your games wont be ready for west market on 2010, so i bet you can play the korean ones? =p

Anyway for my wish list 2010/11 is Tera, Gw2, M&B:warband =)

    now: GW2 (11 80s).
    Dark Souls 2.
    future: Mount&Blade 2 BannerLord.
    "Bro, do your even fractal?"
Recommends: Guild Wars 2, Dark Souls, Mount&Blade: Warband, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.

I look for 1 mmo, I always hope when that one mmo releases that i dont need another mmo for a good 4+ years. I hate the mmo bandwagoning that goes on now. They are played like single player games now, play for a few months then hop to the next one.

Waiting for:EQ-Next, ArcheAge (not so much anymore)
    Now Playing: N/A
    Worst MMO: FFXIV
    Favorite MMO: FFXI

To even suggest all these asian games are the same is downright ignorant. Even just the games mentioned on that list are very different from each other and not all of them are heavily instanced.
