mindless review posts...

a lot of people have been posting on the mmo reviews either saying it was good or bad. really when u look at 50 different posts u dont really know if its a good game or not, most of them are posting reviews but they dont even know what the hell they are talking aboutimage if u really wana know wats goin on with that game, just try it for yourself, dont let other ppl decide wat game is right for u or wat isnt. If u cant find a good mmo, look on their website and see if they have features that u would like, for example if u like PvP, search on the web and find a game that has exceptional pvp like AO or LineageII (i wouldnt recommend lineageII but).image

Very true, which is why games that don't offer open betas ultimately fail, especially in today's climate where there are so many choices available.

Since this is mmorpg.com  every time there is a release you will hear countless posts for or against a game that is coming out. Since we have seen back to back releases including a few last year,

the problem, comes from first time mmoprg players that do not know what they like or the questions to ask so you see the same ole threads for each offering that comes along.

Old timers know the pvp or not ,choice areas of pvp, player economy only, but those new to the genre do not know that some games drop no loot or you have to do massive quests to get anything.

Part of what is happening as the above poster metioned those that do not offer a wide open beta it will not draw the same repsponse as those that do.

There is nada wrong with waiting for a free trial after all ............................

Everyone has their own preference with MMORPGs, and everyone is entitled to express that in providing an opinion on these games. If you disagree with something that somebody says in their review, then it's not that they don't know what they're talking about. Your preference probably just differs from theirs.

im not only talking about reviews that other ppl make, im also saying ppl that play for only 3 minutes and make a decision whether it is good or not. if your gonna rate a game at least discover most of the aspects that MMORPG has to offer.

I see what you mean, but it shouldn't be too hard to spot who hasn't really given the game much of a chance, the review will usually consist of 1 paragraph. :)

Usually you can spot them right away. For example:

"Lololxzz! This game is t3h sux0rz, t3h graph1cs sux, teh gameplay sux, and you need monthly f33's l0lz! Pl4y Tibia instead! It's wayyyyy better and no monthly fee!"

well when i look at a MMO that looks good, i first wana consult other players who actually played, then when i look at a review that says its isnt good for some bs reason, i have doubts on whether or not i should play it or not

Theres an easy way to avoid this, go read reviews from different gaming websites, much more reliable. http://www.gamerankings.com/ this site is great at cataloging lots of different reviews on games. Just search for any MMORPG and you're bound to get a lot of reviews to read.
