Great little game

I only installed this last night but what a great little game.

I made a scout character and had the choice of a dagger based build or an archer build. I went with the archer build and had a choice of seven or eight different shots on my action bar. In our main city an NPC levelled me straight up to level 20 for the beta and a GM was handing out free weapons and armour. I went from wearing a dowdy brown dress with a dull wooden bow, to a stunning red armour set with a great looking matching bow.

You fight over a continent/island by playing battleground maps. The winner of the battleground takes control of that part of the map and tries to conquer the island.

The battlegrounds are up to 50 vs 50 player and the game seems to do a good job of making sure the numbers on each side are equal. The combat is great fun. A third person shooter, there is no targetting so you have to aim your attacks at the opposing player and hope they dont jump out of the way, or try and anticipate where they are going to move to.

At the start of the night my side (the blues) held about half the island, but by the end of the night our enemy the reds had advanced, and were fighting the five battlegrounds around the outskirts of our main city.

My computer, which isnt great, handled the game easily. I didnt experience any stuttering or lockups even in the middle of a mass of people fighting. The simple graphics look good and more importantly play well.

If you enjoy battlegrounds type PVP and want to try a different style of combat to the normal MMO I would say give this game a look.

completely agree with muppetier. but u wouldnt get that lvl up ncp in ob2. that was there just for ob1. in ob2, there will be 5 nation, instead of only 2, in ob1. there was only red and blue for ob1. for ob2, there will be red, blue, green, yellow and purple, and there will be no more wipes when ob2 start. its 50v50 player game, that take more then just killing the other player to win the battle. you need to know how to expend ur area of control to win a battle. you really need team work to win a battle. the game uses a counter system for different aspect of the game. so deciding what to do, and how to expend ur area in battle is really important. there is also chances for a losing side to win, if they can pull off special tactics at the end of the battle. the winning will also have to watch out for those tactics. it take more than just skilled fighter to win a war in this game.
