its time for game maker to stop making or at least let their title be in the shelf for 5 years !
im sorry but im a gamer and i think we go unrealistic expectation as gamer!
and we end up with bad game from good idea .i say :game maker stop flooding market with game just do say 1 per 5 year but a good one with the proper definition,if its a mmo it has to be a mmo,if its a mo it has to be a mo.
i would rater have no new game for the next 5 years then see countless bad game after countless bad game!

Errr, you do realize that game developers do need to make money and earn a living...and the only way to make money as a game developer is to make games...

I don't think English is his first language. Be easy guys, or just ignore the post if you can't understand it.
As for game makers making a game once every five years for the sake of quality...if they're independently invested in, or a smaller specialized outfit underneath a big publisher that can afford such a thing, yeah.
For the most part though, these are all public companies that need to look good financially quarter to quarter, and especially the holidays.
Five years of no return is a long time for a public investment. At least for a game company.
The OP has told others to learn to speak. Something he should follow himself. With that said his English is better than my French. But that's not saying much. There is no doubt that drbaltazar is an intelligent insightful person and that makes it even more frustrating in attempting to understand him.

That said, everyhting was in the second post: game developers needs money thus they make games to get that money.
You might elaborate a bit though: stockholders and mangers want as much money as possible. Thus, they asked for designers to make more and more games. Designers being employees, whether they'd like to slow the game making rythm isn't up to them.
