Okay, just finished the St. Patty's Day live event and the only thing I can say is that I want 3 hours of my life back. I could go on bitching, but it seems there are enough people doing that on the Aion Forums, right now.
So does anyone else think that Aion has the most craptastic live events of any MMO they've ever played?
I really want to love this game as I've been playing since launch and enjoy certain aspects of it, but this game for many reasons, as of late, seems to be pushing me out the door. Anyone else feel this way? And no, I'm not talking to the haters.

Ya this was bad. Really lazy and not thought out.
Maybe they wanted to spend less time dealing with the live event and more time getting drunk at their office party, but you're right.

I agree 100%. After spending 30 mins wading in a sea of players, having to make a macro just to be able to target the NPC cause players covered him up, I still had no idea what the actual purpose of the event was. The crowd would move around from spot to spot and he would spawn random mobs, but nothing dropped and no kinah was given away. I think the highlight was when Fergy dropped down to a lower platform in Sanctum, and all the players who had him on follow fell to their death. But 30 mins of this piss poor excuse for an event was all I could handle, so back to Eltnen I went to keep questing and help fend off against some lowbie gankers.
Edit: After reading the forums, it seems that Fergus was controlled by a GM on each server, and apparently on my server (Ariel), after causing a bunch of people to fall to a platform you couldn't get off of, or fall to their death, the GM just dissapeared. No drops were had. So you can't even chalk this up to a NPC glitch? Dam you NCSoft!
Over on Ariel he spawned Zapiel in Pandaemonium and our alliance got Earrings and a Hauberk. At the very least, I thought the event was a huge step up from the previous events.
I think that might have been the thing that peeved me the most. I felt like a teenage girl chasing around Hannah Montana or the Jonas Brothers. It was pathetic.
Also, every time that I was able to click on Fergy, then click trade, I would get the message, "you have no one to trade with". Whomever is planning these live events needs to be transferred to another department asap. These live events are about as exciting as watching monkeys hump a football or paint dry.

Shift F12 removes all player controlled avatars and names unless you select them, or they are in your group.
The rest, well Aion has a poor track record so far for events. This event was no different.
Ive defended Aion in the past but its becoming clear that the US/EU player base is an afterthought.
Yesterdays "live" event was a total fail. I think we have one GM on eu servers and on my server we stood about for hours and nothing spawned. And we have to pay for this priviledge ? !
