WeMade Entertainment has announced that the Open Beta test for the Digimon MMO, Digimon Battle, has begun. To kick things off, WeMade has also announced a series of events called the Triple Play Event Bundle, which will run from March 17th through April 7th.
Details on the events below:
To commemorate the launch of the Digimon Battle open beta, WeMade is hosting a Triple Play Event Bundle, which includes three individual events running from March 17 to April 7. Now is the time for players to get in the game and get a head start! The first event called “Mega Mission” is where players are encouraged to “digivolute” their partners to the Mega Stage for a chance to win up to 500 WeCash, plus Gold Drills, Excalibur Swords and one week of Deva Aura! In the second event called “Check In and Cash In,” players are encouraged to check in to the game every day in order to achieve a 100% attendance record and cash in for the Mysterious DigiEgg! In the final event called “DB Happy Hour,” players can receive 30% EXP Buff for free when they log in on March 20 and 21 from 11:00am – 2:00pm Server Time.
Digmon Battle is based on Seasons 1-4 of the original Digimon TV series, and players can select from several of the series' tamers as their own characters including: Takato Matsuki, Henry Wong, Rika Nonaka, or Jeri Katou. The game also features three types of Digimon Partners as well as seven types of Captured Digimon for players to tame.
Players will be able to progress from Rookie Tamers all the way up to Brave Grade in the full game, however, the open beta will limit testers to the Normal Digivolution system as well as a level cap of 50.

Digimon sucks!
Pokemon would have been alot cooler
Currently Playing Path of Exile
Digimon is 10x better than Pokemon
Ash was an idiot who released his highest evolved pokemon and kept a pikachu with him. He failed miserably.
Besides, Digimon could die whereas pokemon just fainted.
Guessing this game isn't going to be too great, but I might give it a try.
I think this game would reach it's est potential as a mobil game, maybe for iphone.

Pokemon may have been epic back in the golden years (excuse the pun) however the newcommers to the game went from 'kick arse monster' to something 'hello kitty', plus with Nintendo just rebranding the old games throwing in 'pritty' and gimick features like that pokewalker thing and minigames (not online play online play is good - well if they other side doesn't d/c in a huff if your close to winning), it's gotten stale...
As with DDS I'm really hoping this game takes off as one the Digimon look cool and I'm hoping this is built in the game style as the Digimon World series and mainly two hopfully it'll kick Nintendo into gear and give us a proper Pokemon MMO and not just lump us with yet another stadium game, which in IMO it just a rip off because all it really does it put your battles in 3D
Heres hope to this game may you kick the complacent fat Pikachu up it's arse and into gear

nothing better then oldskool pokemon
Digimon was way better then Pokemon, back in the day when the early Digimon season was shown.
Somebody review the beta
Yes, somebody who does reviews please review this.
As for the Pokemon vs Digimon ageold debate and which is better? No comment, but I will say I like(d) both in their own ways.
In terms of the shows, they both went downhill after a while.
Pokemon went downhill when it started changing party members and voices. Also when it moved to CN it lost a lot of viewers who don't have that channel. I personally haven't been able to catch it since then. Kinda hoping they put Pokemon on Boomerang. The Pokemon games are doing okay but I'm not happy about the latest ones being a rehash, although I might still buy it for the sake of old times.
Also there is a Pokemon MMO, but as far as I know it's not "official" and is very pixelized. For those interested, Google is your friend.
Digimon went downhill when they started letting humans become Digimon. Also I didn't like them changing characters every season. Don't get me wrong, the humans to Digimon was on okay season as a standalone, but doesn't compare to 1 and 2. DATS redeemed the show, though. I highly enjoyed that season. As far as I know Digimon games never had the same appeal as Pokemon.
Why do companies insist on bringing us the old stuff, why can't we get the fully 3D version of the game that is currently out, instead of the isometric 3D version which is a few years old..?!

Digimon has several years on Pokemon
Remember Tamagachi, those little keychain pets? the cutsie little babies?
Digimon came in with monster you could hook up and beat them up.
Kinda beats the Gameboy Pokemon by a few years doesn't it?
Also ask has won the cup, the retarded thing is he has like 2 trophies and about 20 badges but when he enters a new region "Oh a Slate Badge? Never heard of it, if you want to be important here you need a Stone Badge!"
It's what season 15 now?
8 bages per season
He's caught like ever pokemon in existence and he STILL need to learn life lessons?
Ash could be so bad ass if his writers had talent.
Pokemon started in 1996, Digimon (aka V-Pet) started in 1997.

Pokemon started in 1996, Digimon (aka V-Pet) started in 1997.
nope Tamagachi (that was what v-pet was, and it was compatible with)
started in 1996, though i cant find the exact month
http://tamagotchi.wikia.com/wiki/Tamagotchi_(1996_Pet)
pokemon was feb of the same year
http://www.salemstate.edu/~poehlkers/Emerson/Pokemon.html
so their releases might be more alongthe lines of a few months apart but the misconception that "pokemon is far older" is well wrong which is my point.
And both series have valid points i don't side with either.
(i prefer the Pokemon games myself but the digimon show. As meontion before Ash's writers are retards. I mean come on the guy has saved the world what 40 times now? And has what 100 badges but none of that means anything in the Quapla Region?)
aint dat the truth!!
"Digimon started out as a digital pet called "Digital Monster," similar in style and concept to the Tamagotchi. It was planned by Wiz and released by Bandai on June 26, 1997. The toy began as the simple concept of a Tamagotchi for boys (as Bandai was also the creator of the Tamagotchi). The V-Pet is similar to its predecessors, with the exceptions of being much harder and being able to connect to fight other Digimon v-pets. Every owner would start with a Baby Digimon, train it, evolve it, take care of it, and then have battles with other Digimon owners to see who was stronger. The Digimon pet had several evolution capabilities and abilities too, so many owners had many different Digimon. In December, the second generation of Digital Monster was released, followed by a third edition in 1998.[1]"

"The Digimon Virtual Pet was a toy and was released in 1997 by Bandai. What became a TV series, toyline, comic, cardgame, and more began as the simple concept of a Tamagotchi for boys (as Bandai was also the creator of the Tamagotchi). It was similar to earlier virtual pets ("v-pets"), with the distinctions of being much hardier and being able to connect to fight other Digimon v-pets. Every owner would start off with a baby Digimon, train it, take care of it, cause it to evolve, and then have battles with other Digimon owners to see whose was stronger. The Digimon pet had several evolution capabilities, so two owners could have wildly different Digimon."
