Dark Fall too hardcore for my Credit Card??? Assistance Needed Please

Error 209? Card rejected. Can't purchase the one dollar trial for a week. I've checked my bank account online and there's plenty of money left.... I head to the Dark Fall "Support" forum and i can't post a new thread because i "still" have not received my confirmation email in order to post on the forums.
I did a forum search and could only find one other thread where people had the same problem as me. Apparently other similar threads have been deleted? This particular thread only went to the 10th of this month and was never addressed by a GM. I believe one other person had success with using PayPal but his success was short lived ....... I do not use or desire to use PayPal, and i don't feel like i should have to in this particular situation. A few others in the thread had even worse luck. Apparently they we're charged one dollar out of their account each time they tried to use their Credit Card. So far that has not happened to me yet and i pray that it doesn't. Disputing charges like "this" one are particularly difficult to do and to prove.
I'm not sure if i should persist with my efforts to play this game because now i have a wierd feeling about this company's billing ethics.
Can anyone offer any help if you have encountered this situation? How did you resolve it?

Okay seriously, this isn't some kind of troll. If i was trashing the game i'd have 25 comments by now but i simply want to play the game and i can't. No one has any suggestions at all?

May end up having to get one of those like gift credit cards. Its really the only thing I can think of.
name on card could be too long, just put first and last name
only thing i remember being a problem with the payment back in the day...
Actually, someone tried that. They lost their money because gift cards aren't compatible with the Darkfall billing system? WTF?! Are they trying to keep people out? I have 3 days left of my spring break and i wanted to finish it off with trying Dark Fall for the first time.
Can anyone else offer a solution or actually "have" the solution. Customer support told me to contact my CC. My CC said it's not them and apparently no one has any clue what's going on.

LOL, he's not the DFO community, he's a DFO hater making fun of skill grind. Also, you should calm down and maybe try to get answers from the DFO forums, you know, the ones dedicated to DFO.

You're right, i should calm down. Done. As stated in my post, though, i am unable to post on their forums because after over an hour, i have yet to receive my email validation to "use" these forums. I submitted a ticket as well but no reply. What else can i do?

Try recreating your account, see if it will let you, maybe it didn't take the first time.
The account took. I can logon to the main site but i can't access the forums. Different user names for each. So i'm guessing it took. I'm afraid to re-enter my credit card information because i don't want my card to be flagged or worse, charged for something i haven't received

Edit: It is a sound idea though but, yeah maybe i will try that. (sigh)
Found a possible solution:
If you are using an ad/script blocker it can mess up DFOs subscription form, make sure none of these addons are running when you submit your info.
Wow skeaser thanks for the effort you are putting into this. The only blockers i have are the standard internet explorer/windows firewall. I tried IE and google chrome. Disable my firewall and try it????

That wasn't very nice and it hurt my feelings.
Try using the Firefox browser if you aren't already that helped me. I hope you are able to try Darkfall during your 3 day break.

If you're having a fit about that [Mod Edit] posters comment ...you might not want to play DF after all. This is a fantastic game but if you're going to rage-uninstall that easily you certainly won't last an hour after your noob protection wears off.
Currently playing SWTOR and it's MUCH better than it was at launch.
while i have no sound fix for ur issue. disabling the firewall will not effect IE.
you will have to go in to your browser settings and disable the ad/popup blocker program and try again
this sounds like a DFO website issue more so then your side. BUT like i said i dont have any really sound advice for you.
most CC issues is browser based. so if you can try running Firefox as well and see if its IE that is causing it
Same thing happened to me the only solution I found was to use Paypal.

Thanks everyone, especially you Skeaser. I guess i could download firefox......... I always stayed clear of paypal because of the terrible stories i've heard. I don't think i will do either. Shouldn't be this hard to play a game. Never heard of a company that had problems with "taking" your money.
WELL the problem is no so much AV. its a typical CC issue, as far as i know no one has been able to really beat it completely.
hell even EA gets hit with it from time to time. generally there are quick fixes tho. but DO try FF if that doesnt work.. i dont know what to tell you
personally never had issues with paypal tho i dont use credit card for it.. so i cant say if DFO will work that way or not IF u choose to go that route
Done. I will try FF and see if my credit card info takes. Will check back rather it works or not.
Fail....... FireFox didn't work and according to the disclaimer at the bottom of the page, i've tried more than 3 attempts anyways and my CC is locked out. Now i have to call my card's own customer service, to make sure they also didn't lock my account for fraudulent activity. I have never had this happen before for any game.
Too bad. Back to Mortal Online beta i guess. = /

Then again i hear its very secure and the only people who got hacked are people like my fiance who desperately need IE's phishing filter. Confirm please.

I don't use paypal for Darkfall, but I use it regularly to buy things off ebay, and what-not. Never had an issue, myself.
Actually, when I was buying the game (waaaay back when you had to press F5 on the "store" page and hope to get a copy before they sold out) my bank wouldn't let the charges though, due to it being in Greece. Thankfully they were kind enough to call me (this was at like 5am my time) and confirm the charge.
I was like "YES!!! PUT IT THROUGH GODDAMMIT!!!"
