Hi all,
I need to do a research for school about computer addiction. Please help me out with a minute of your time to fill in some questions, I will greatly appreciate it
How long do you use the computer on average a day?
What is the #1 thing you miss out on in life because you use the computer too much?
Is there anything you get worried about when you use the computer too much?
What is your biggest reason to try to cut down computer time, (if you intend too)?
Do you think a game time monitor tool works to get less adicted?
Do you think commitment software(auto close game after x hours) works to overcome your addiction?
Thank you in advance

Do you think a game time monitor tool works to get less addicted?
yes and no, it either turns into something to brag about to your gamer friends, or you'll step yourself down with it.
the sad thing is seeing 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, racking up... it really starts becoming Surreal, then you realize it has to stop.
Do you think commitment software(auto close game after x hours) works to overcome your addiction?
well... to a game addict it would be something we would do anything to get around. (I've seen people reformat their hard-drive and install Linux just to log-in to a free to play game)
i think the best way to overcome your addiction would first of all be to commit to it, then step yourself gradually down.

Another great example of Moore's Law. Give people access to that much space (developers and users alike) and they'll find uses for it that you can never imagine. "640K ought to be enough for anybody" - Bill Gates 1981
