I was playing a game... I forget what it was... but it had creatures that didn't really affect you or the game, they were just there for atmosphere.
Maybe fireflies or flies or mosquitos depending on where you were...
Or there could be more dreamlike things, glowing orbs, pixies, little dragon like things... wisps of clouds...
Maybe you could catch them and use them for fueling an element or something else?

I think it would be pretty cool to walk through each plane and see different creatures running around.
