It could...it is. But it seems like a good genre for a browser based game. Somehow adventure and fantasy games need something more than just a browser, just my opinion of course.

Not tonight dear...I have a haddock!

well I was looking for a game that I could casually play at work.  I've tried loads of browser based games but they all get very boring very fast

I tried it, you manage a bussines, hire employees, buy shop, manage your store and all that, it's not bad but not my cup of tea.

I've tried it. I thought was very boring. I've played before browser mmo's, so I think thats not the reason

    1. the menu structure wasn't good. It was very chaotic and sometime you have to search for somethings.

    2. It was boring like I said before. When I played it there was hardly anyone online and almost no shops.

    3. The quests were level duhh.. You are just setting up a business and that's boring..

I know it's in beta, but those are things they are not gonna change I think. You can try it, maybe you like. I didn't

I played it a few months ago for about a week and for what it is it did seem to do a good job. You  start a company then you open businesses in whatever field you specialize in and hire NPCs to work in those businesses. You then upgrade your shops and improve relations with your employees. Employees are treated as loot which you can acquire from job fairs or poaching them from other players. Usually the rarer an employee the better skills they will have that in turn improves parts of you shop.

There is also a political type system in place so you can run for seats that give you and your guild improvements and allow you to make some decisions on game events I think.  I did not look at this too much but it seemed like you had to be the leader of a pretty big guild before you could actually get anywhere with this. I could be wrong about that since like I said I did not pay much attention to that part of the game.

There was some rough parts like trying to figure out how to do some things was not easy to grasp but since that was a few months back they more than likely have streamlined the tutorial and rollover hints to improve this.

I wanted to love this game. I like the concept of competitive business games and strategy. I like the concept of simulation of business world; Hire and motivate employees, stock stores, etc There is even  a political component to the game where players can hold certain offices in the game world.

    However.

    The UI sucks.

Everything is named poorly and  it is a nightmare to navigate around in it. Thats the only reason I stopped playing. I just can't get used to how clunky that part is.

im playing this one for more than 5 weeks now. its fun.

what you need is a guild and about 20-30mins a day.  you do your standart routines, chat with guildies or in public, attack one or the other guildenemy.

the ui isnt that good as mentioned before, but after some days youll get easily used to it.

    give it a try :)

It would be nice to have an MMO game with the graphics and gameplay of something like Restaurant Empires 2. For me these browser based games, where all you really see are menus lose the immersion of running a business, dealing with employees, customers, products etc.

There is not even one IQ or AI in this game, it is another typical China time sink game. I also suspect that some people are hired to play this game because one account could play aat any server. This game is not even a strategy game.

I do not have much experience with browser games but I indeed enjoy playing it.

The only business about the game is the environment. It is miles away from any business game or business simulation.

You pick your industry(class) and establish a company. Hire employees and open shops(gather materials) to generate your daily revenue, generated TCN(in-game currency) can be used go run expensive events and further expand your company, factory and your guild if you are a member of any.

You progress as a character through daily quests or running routines(grind). Attributes you can raise improve your factory production, revenue, employee skills, store cleaning efficiency and experience defining your social status.

You can play at your own pace or join a guild and compete with others in City Hall elections or other numerous rankings including NPC challenged activities.

The game is pretty complex and feature rich, even though it might not be visible at first glance.

The items is probably heavier focused on item shop but you play just fine without spending any $ . Everything will just takes longer and requires some more effort.
