Star Wars: The Old Republic: Bastila VA Jennifer Hale Joins Voice Cast

MikeBMikeB Community ManagerAdministrator RarePosts: 6,555

Jennifer Hale, the voice of Bastila in Knights of the Old Republic and female Shepard in both Mass Effect 1 & 2, as well as Samus in the Metroid Prime trilogy, has been confirmed to be on board The Old Republic, according to a report over at DarthHater. Of course, it is still a mystery as to who exactly Ms.Hale will be voicing, but her participation in the project definitely bodes well for BioWare's claims of an excellent voice cast for The Old Republic.

Any suggestions or ideas for who Jennifer Hale will be voicing? One of the female Jedi classes would be a likely possibility, but it could be anything or anyone at this point!

Hey, she is better looking than I imagined image  Still, it's a Bioware game and it just wouldn't be the same without her.

Damn straight. Man, my expectations keep getting raised higher and higher, I should really just discover how to successfully cryogenically freeze and re-animate humans to bypass all this bloody anticipation. Bring on the trumpets!

    Playing: LoL x3
Played: RS, WoW, SWG, TR, Aion, AoC, EVE, SWTOR
    Watching: FireFall, GW2

Lol. I think I said this already in another thread ages ago, but I want to do an Eric Cartman, like when he freezes himself when he's waiting for the Nintendo Wee to come out. If nobody wakes me up I will hang with the Sea Otters and eat food off my tummy :)

Maybe she'll do a variety of voices.

btw... Does anyone else think it would be awesome if Mark Hamill did voice work for some evil sith lord in SWTOR? He's an amazing character voice actor... He's Joker in the recent Batman game (and in the animated series and all kinds of other stuff).

He doesn't want to be assosiated with Star wars anymore. It would cost them a lot to get him onboard. But, yeah, he has turned into a really good voice actor. Loved him in castle in the sky (re-issued version) and he is prity good in Metalocalypse also and agree, v-good Joker.

During the GDC presentation the female trooper had her voice. Whether she exclusively voices this female class or not is unknown.

Voice acting has got to be where the bulk of that $150+ million supposedly spent on this game. How much does a voice actor, and I mean notable ones, make anyway?

When anyone brings up Mark Hamill and voice acting, I can't help but remember "Full Throttle"s Ripburger. Nice sinister voice.

Such a fun game and so memorable characters... :)

Awesome.  Jennifer Hale's my favorite game voice actress.  Has been ever since she did Fall-From-Grace in Planescape:Torment.  (Probably still the best CRPG of all time.)

Hasn't this been known for a while? I was on TOR's IMDB page two weeks ago and she was there then, at the very least.

Jennifer Hale comes up at 2:48 of the video, Voices of the Old Republic ...You know, that video that was released, like, a year ago (obviously some people are less Jennifer Hale fans than others /sniff)image

Also It would seem that she is voicing a republic character at least ("The Republic Deserves your best efforts!") Yes MAAM!!!

More importantly tho, It would seem my favorite crazy vampire nun is going to be voicing something in ToR!  Now this should be news!!

i could care less if its voiced by a chipmunk on helium. as long as the game works.
