Aion: Version 1.9 Live in Korea

According to AionSource, the hotly anticipated version 1.9 is set to go live in Korea today, which means now we just play the waiting game over here in the states!

AionSource's report includes a number of teases to get you hyped for 1.9's eventual release over here in the West, including a display of the Templar's bolstered tanking ability in 1.9, as well as images and details on numerous new wings that have been added to the game. Some wings even feature HP/Mana values as high as 180!

yes it is that detailled and just wait till you get to PVP your computer will "feel" all those details and nearly blow up.
hmmm, only if you have a really old computer or enter in a huge siege with details up with an average computer.

Hmm... finally some new content and a teaser for 2.0. This means at least 2 months of subscription from me.
My bet is they are releasing this on the Western servers around the end of April or the beginning of May.
Or just about any siege with a 64bit system. Hooray for the "fixed" cryengine that still leaks like a sieve and crashes out quite often. Not that you're missing much besides defending/attacking the same keep for the billionth time.

Yes it should be coming out within 1-2 months in the west.
And yes, it is that detailed in game, and no the detail wont make your computer blow up unless it's really old.
Can't wait to see this stateside!
Hey maybe by next year they will have an update where the characters wings are so huge it actually causes an eclipse.

If you are going to overexagerrate for the sake of making the point that perhaps you don't like how they implemented pve content or that you felt they needed a greater amount to smooth out the leveling, or an increage is quest xp to smooth out the leveling, then at least say as much.

Aion is a beautiful game and the character customization is amazing.
That being said every single person I know who played Aion at release has quit. That's over 30 players.
Everyone I was in a Legion with left the game some time ago. Everyone who was on my friends list quit.
There is a reason for that. But, the game is fun for a bit, and the game's characters are awesome. The subscription retention of Aion is pretty low but the major servers still have enough players on them that it doesn't really matter.
Just don't expect standard services that other MMOs offer for their subscription fees like 24/7 in game support. Or patches in a timely manner. This 1.9 patch has been talked about for over four months and is only now being released live in Korea. That means it will be some time (my guess is June) before it is released to the Western Market. Even then, it will probably break some things that will take another month or two to fix up - which is what happened with the 1.5 patch.
As long as someone can ignore NCSoft West's management of the game and doesn't mind paying full price for a game with minimal services then give the game a shot. Personally, I don't think anyone should be rewarding a company that has the same price point as others and doesn't offer half of what the competition offers. But, hey, it is pretty.
I played Aion for awhile and it took me that while to figure out that their talk of 24/7 in-game support coming soon was just hot air. They said that back in September 2009. It's almost April now. Still nothing on the 24/7 support. There are many examples of this type of lack of service but it isin't worth getting into.
I actually agree that NC support has always been all over the map.
Apparently it still is but in a surprising way. At launch they didn't have gm support during the day hours. However, I just did a submit petition just to clarify that was true and apparenlty I'm put on a list.

Still, I dont' know if there are "blackout" times for that.
And that i think is the crux of NC's problems. They say they want to be a first class developer but they sometimes don't seem to really know what that means. They have come a long ways since my early Lineage 2 days but still make mistakes.

u are right aernisimm , they should offer coffe and potato chips , as 24/7 support , wth is the problem with suppor i don;t get it , what u lack is ppl to complain to that someone ganked u and u can say hey nerf that class they killed me they are oped, wth during my 6 monts play i didn't needed support not even once during game play , and like me there are at least 90% of players, if u were the manager would u have done something like 24/7 in these conditions , i bet u wouldn't , everybody saying ppl quit , yeah they do they go to another game play 3 months and quit it too , and go back to wow , why ? becouse all the other games out there do not take your hand and make u lvl 80 in 1 month , the easines of wow is a disease, u should get cured , your friend's awell. Everybody is qq-ing omg omg grind grind , and when u ask him "how manny quests did u make " " oooh a loot " 350 quests " yeah right and the game has 900+ quests , i think ppl expect to much from an early game and yes 6 months is early quit now come back after 1 yeah and try then ( but i bet then ppl will qq that everyone has yellow items and they not and start crying and ask for nerfs ).
on topic , from aionsource forums it is estimated to 1 and half moth untill release in NA/EU , relativly fast considering that the chinese market got burning crusade after almoust 1 and half years from release in na/eu , so let's hope they will change the drop rate wich i have to admit is to low , atleast for bosses is kinda iritating to raid a boss and get kinah , what the hell is a damn boss he should drop.
my cousins computer is brand new not even a year old top of the line everything and even he bottoms out in the abyss
although you have to admit it is grindy even if you got tons of quests your still going to find yourself mashing out tons of enemies other mmo's are the same way but with aion it feels more like a job im paying them for instead of a game
Well, I can go to a siege with details down and play it reasonably well. I don't have a new computer (though not terrible old). So perhaps there is another issue here.
The caveat to that statement is that if it is a huge siege then I also wouldn't be able to do it.

finally someone casted a light on templars xD
They may not have all the account services up and running like other MMO's do but they do have the Veteran Rewards for 1 to 11 months that give you various items that are very useful.
Can't wait to see some of the new content they added in 1.9.
