hello ppl, players of CoH.
I've been playing many MMOs til this day but never tried CoH.
how do you like the game?? would you guys recommend?
here are some question I want to ask.
1. hows the leveling system? (easy? hard like Lineage 2?)
2. I know its a zone map, but is each zone big enough?
3. I tried the OB long time ago... do I have more options to create my character? (exp. more face, more costume and etc?)
4. Do I get the cape from the beginning or by quest? and when do we start flying?
5. Do you delvl when right after leveling and die?
Overall you you guys recommend me to play this game? thank you.

1) It's not hard, but it can be long and tedious. The game is meant for casual players, so you move along at a generally good pace. But if yo utry to 'grind it out' it gets monotonous.
2) Yeah theyre huge enough. At least horizontally. Buildings cant be entered, one of the reasons I left in the first place -- what kind of city has buildings that can't be entered. (Besides missions) it made it hard for me to roleplay. Because most people just RPed on rooftops and pretended they were in some 'scene'. (Hope they add interiors as an expansion or something..sheez)
3) There haven't been many if any changes since launch in terms of character creation, but in Issue 4 coming out in just a few weeks. They are addign a whole slew of things including body scaling. Now you can adjust the scale, like length, width or what have you a'la Star Wars Galaxies, to individual limbs and even the face models. So that pretty much makes it the most customizable system ever, case closed. (The focus of the new clothing options are anime though)
4) Capes can't be acquired by a quest at level 20.
5) Well when you get a level, its not counted as a level until you actually go to the appropriate mob and 'level up' manually. You simply acquire the XP required. If I recall correctly, if you get enough xP for a level, and then die, your debt might roll back the level. Can't confirm though havent played since October.
thank you
2. Most zones are big, others are huge
3. They will be introducing more costume options in issue 4
4. Capes are available by quest when you get to level 20, you can pick the fly power at level 14, provided you picked Hover or Air Superiority from the pool before
5. There is no deleveling. You only get xp debt.
when is issue 4 coming out? and I read it from other post that there will be anime?? is it?
can anyone be more specific?? plz thank you
www.coh.com for the issue 4 preview, it will be out sometime in march. Earlier rathre than later is the word.
It is interesting how The Matrix has "started" to fix this by opening up buildings. The Matrix still needs to take that next step, though, and add reasonable content to the buildings. Unfortunatley, that could be a dautning task (adding content to every room of every building ... ouchers).
Spooooon!!!!
You can get a special cape with the boxed version...what kind of cape is that?
Toughest rater in the world
Try to impress me, please, i dare u
They have included a way to increase the difficulty of missions. If you feel leveling is too easy you can use this to make it a little tougher. You'll get more exp but you will also likely die more often.
The other thing you should know is that CoH is not for everyone. If you are looking just for a new MMO to play I would suggest WoW or EQ2. CoH lacks the traditional out of combat activities such as crafting player economies and the loot doesn't have the same feel and fun of other MMOs. These seemed to be the biggest complaints people had about the game. If you love super heroes and comics then I definately suggest CoH other wise I would look else where if I were you.
i want to try it too
WoW 4ever
It is awesome, sir.
