Funcoms Version Of World Of Darkness?

Seems very similar so far of the New World of Darkness. If it is I'm all over this like white on rice. Since CCP is taking there sweet time on getting out the WOD MMO. Seems very very similar. Secret World does. Lets hope it is very much like it.

I hope so too, it's a very untapped market, i've enjoyed most Funcom games in the past, so I'm really looking forward to this
Lovecraft gets mentioned in other MMOs, but it's about time we got something direct

In my opinion, Secret World has much more similiarities with Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos than World of Darkness from the information given.

It is a much broader stable of legends, myths and monsters that they draw from in TSW compared to WOD, and it has a much more Lovecraftian feel to it. That's not to say there aren't similarities with WoD becasue there are...

After watching the most recent trailer, I just realized this game looks exactly like Hellgate London with less effects. Can anyone really trust funcom anymore with games like Age of conan and this new game which looks like a blatant ripoff of Hellgate London (which failed horribly btw, although still going in korea).
Hellgate really ? I don't see the connection at all.

I also don't see how TSW is WoD since they're also making a WoD MMO
It's the genre more so than being WoD.
It seems like a classical MMO just based in modern times.
Yes, the Societies seem interesting, and at least for me, very easy to relate to.
And I am really hoping it will be an "Action-MMORPG" where the focus is mainly on the action, and not repetition of same tasks.

I was being told from someone who saw an in game demo that it looks like a resident evil MMO.
I have enjoyed there games as well, the Game Director is brilliant. And I do agri that this is an untapped market fro MMORPG.
I think it's extremely unfair to compare TSW to WOD Online as we have ZERO idea what World of Darkness, if that is in fact its final name, will be like.
There has been very little info leaked or spoken about WoD that any comparison is just flat our wrong for the time being. That being said, we might actually be seeing the emergence of an MMO genre with these two games in serious production, that of Horror / Suspense MMO which has been sorely neglected since MMO have been conceived.
I for one hope both games bring up the genre to a different level but my guess is that they will be very, very different beasts. But that's pure conjecture of course as no one really knows what either game will look like at release.
Important Information regarding Posting and You
I dont have much hope for Funcom´s "The Secret World. I fear it will like Age of Conan full of bugs, and errors. But maybe they have learn it by now.
