Aion: Double Experience Weekend Announced

NCsoft has announced another double experience weekend, which will run between this Friday, March 26th and Monday, March 29th. If you won't be attending PAX East this weekend, it might be a great chance to catch up to your friends!

If you're groaning because you're already level 50, well, NCsoft says, "Congratulations on level 50!".

All very well and good but what about a weeks free trial for those of us that would like to give the game a go but are a little nervous about all the negativity surrounding it and don't want to invest in it before we experiance it for ourselves .
They could even do what Darkfall has done and charge a dollar for it if they want to avoid spammers .
Double experience weekend was mostly a privilege of free 2 play games. This is obviously a game that should have been free 2 play with cash shop. It would have earned much more attention then as a P2P solution. Have tried it, have liked it, have stashed it, never to smash it! :P
For some hardcore players it is a great game but as a casual gamer it eats to much time away (which i don't have for spare, sry).
Anyone should try the game at least.
See I disagree. I play this game casually and it seems perfect. A hardcore gamer would enjoy games with larger grinds like FFXI. Aion uses the same formula as WoW. Quick simple quests of kill X creatures etc. Double XP weekend further proves this point as they want to get players into the abyss and into PvP as fast as possible. This game is a perfect second MMO because it doesn't take much time to do anything. I can login and do a quest or 2 in like 20 minutes and then log off.
That is sidetracking the forum topic. YAY for double XP weekend! helps me get to the fun faster...*sigh*

The double xp is needed to level up as it still is a grind to higher levels. I take advantage of this every sec I can!

Sometimes for the ones that have already reached lvl cap the event should be double kinah or double "honor" (forgot the name) so everyone would benefit from it imo.
