I miss them old days when i would be questing and all of a sudden the chat box would go crazy saying alliance/horde 100+ ( even 200+ back in the day )raiding the citys. Everyone would hearth back to the citys to see " countless " bodys on the ground with a massive killing ground. I havent felt intence battles like that in years.
Another thing is when u would kill say for instance onyxia her head would be on the gates in Stormwind and there would be so many people outside of stormwind cheering while the guild/pub that did it would be greeted to the celebration through the portal.
Even tho w.o.w is boring now and easy i give props to the game from how much those times where epic.

mods should make a "those were the days" sticky. the amount of useless new threads is getting out of hand...
Remember the time when you got your first email account and you were so happy when you got your first email?
I remember back in the days in WoW. i bought the game played it for a total of 1 week and canceled my sub because it was a really dumbed down game, to easy to level and to be honest some of the worst pvp i have ever seen.
Errr... was this before both expansions?
I remember the good old days when runescape was fun and not all noob friendly. Where it actually took a bit of common sense to be good and pvp was really fun. And the days when the majority of players played for gameplay and the challenge. Oh how games have fallen...
Good Game
yeah before expansions, i tried a pvp server and when i saw how lame the pvp was i bounced.
i rember back in the day when i got my first modem and i called my friend to tell him not to answer the phone so we could talk online and it would be so cool
ahh the good ole days of 300 baud
lol
"All expectation leads to suffering" Buhhda
"played it for a total of 1 week" + "saw how lame the pvp was" = "got ganked and camped, burst into tears, and cancelled account", imho.
While I understand your point here, I also think getting ganked and camped as a new character might in fact be fair for some people to consider a lame form of PvP.
Also, if you look around at other PvP games pre-WoW (UO anyone?) you'll see quite clearly that there are many reasons someone might prefer a different PvP style than WoW's that has nothing to do with strictly ganking and camping issues.
I remember back in the days that I stumbled upon World of Warcraft and I thought I would never like another MMORPG again after having waded through dozens of broken off and on line RPG and adventure games on "computers".
Mostly put off by the complete lack of any decent polish, smooth responsiveness of actually "controlling" the avatar" you are in a real seamless world.
Enough to say that after that initial10 day WOW play, I never looked back at ANY other crap being published ever since.
There are always those very few with weird and strange tastes. I don't care.
They simply didn't experience WOW at all, that's also very clear from their postings.
Why? because after 1 week (at launch) , you could have only had a feed back on the smooth, tight and responsive gameplay WOW offers and never actually witnessed anything about any long term playing value.
So it is clear such posts don't even tell the truth as WOW has the best tight and responsive gameplay of any mmorpg out there. (with jumping ) ).
Want a real mmorpg? Play WOW with experience turned off mode and be Pve_Pvp King at any level without a rat race.
I miss the old days when i learned to crap in the toilet mum and dad used to wipe my butt and i got claps for going to the toilet. Now i wipe my own butt and get told off for the stink left behind. Thanks mum and dad for the epic butt wipes.
Point being, if he cancelled after 1 week, it is not possible that he experienced any form of the PvP that WoW offers other than being ganked and camped. Yet he still feels qualified to assert that it is "lame".
Then put simply you don't have ANY right to even publish an opinion on WOW because it is based on your non experience..
Grtz, go back to the usual unpolished crap and keep hating the most succesful game in history with a vengeance. You don't deserve to play the game.
Want a real mmorpg? Play WOW with experience turned off mode and be Pve_Pvp King at any level without a rat race.
Yep, because playing for a day and getting to level 20 or so is going to teach you that endgame PvP is unbalanced and gear-centric.
