Seriously though, it's not going to change. I think AV's proven that.
Voted Yes. Grind is insane in this game, macroing help a lot, expecially new players.
Maybe if enough people post and we get a vast majority of the community, they will listen. They listened about the bindstone kicking problem.

I will tell you why:
You must be in one of that zerg alliances that hold subcontinent and have at least 20 active ppl in one city 24/7. Not everyone can macro in safe, carebear. In fact only about 10-15% population can and those are mainly vets. This is not a solution at all and will lead to further rising gap between new players and vets.
On EU server the loudest screaming crowd is Cairn alliance. Not only their members are mostly vets that are/were macroing 24/7, but also hold subcontinent for themselves and it's safest place in Agon (they are also largest alliance on EU). I bet you are part of it.
P.S.
they are also whining that removing bindstone kicking will kill PvP. Yeah, for them. They created safe zone and were bindstone kicking for PvP to mainland. Now they will be forced to actually live in holdings.
The every fact that this debate is open proves that Darkfall is broken. If a large part of your playerbase would rather use bots than play the game themselves, you as a dev fucked up somewhere.
The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.
Even though I quit this game a few months back, I'm going to call BS on this one. Cairn is anything but the safest place on the map. We are raided at least 3-4 times a day, and our mines are routinely hit during the wee hours that most are asleep. A lot of my clan buddies do not macro; the only macroing that they do participate in is afk swimming, and that is for vitality stat raise, so please don't post FUD. Thanks.

If they implement something along the lines of EvE's off-line "levelling", then I'll gladly accept this policy. I'm afraid I don't have time nor the patience to do this "supervised macroing" for 10 hours per day. And I'm willing to bet many others don't either.
Well than every mmo on market is broken ,youll not find a game without bots . I think you wanted to say leveling bots but every game with skill/stat/level raised by player interaction has that kind of bots (eve is exception to this but skills raise at real time not with player interaction ,back in the day when eve had that kind of interaction and you could raise skill while using eve had botters/macroers too ) even you can find leveling services; most populer was for wow ,i know unbelieveable .
Macros are different matter from bots , "bot" is used for mostly programs dont need player interaction but macros automates repatetive tasks and there are some hardware for macros like g15 keyboard or n52 and others .Some games allows macro if you are in front of your pc (attended macro) ; You can use UOassist for UO without any problem but you cant use unattended macros ,swg had built in macro tools if iirc .
ya thats dumb, macroing and botting should not be part of anygame imo. just make new players more capable in PvP, Make the game more about twitch and player skillz.

It's not that they'd rather use bots than play, it's that they'd like to macro when they're not playing.
There have been SO many of these threads. Nothing ever changes as a result...
Obviously if AV just made it so people wouldn't NEED to macro, this would not be such an issue.
