Having Videocard Problems with WoW and a question

ZacruneZacrune Member Posts: 126

Ok here are the Videocard Specs

64MB VRAM

Runs WoW : 2Fps - 23Fps

This is my home computer, and im kinda having a big problem

ok,in Elwyen Forest(i spelled it wrong),it runs from 6fps-9fps and thats slow.

in a mine it can run from 13fps-23fps(but 23 is RARE)

A couple of minutes ago i changed the setting and then i started getting 2fps(VERY POOR PREFORMANCE)

is there any way i can fix this?

AND ALSO:

128MB Videocard

Runs WoW : 15fps-45fps

having no problems with it considering it mostly runs 20-40fps

IS THERE ANY WAY I SQUEEZE MORE FRAMES OUT OF BOTH?

... honestly.. it sounds like the card isnt really meant for modern gaming, even WoW. about all i can suggest is buy a new one, even a $50 graphics card will give you more than that, at a guess i'd say the card is at least 5 years old... and if thats the kind of performance in elwyn forest, then, i can only imagine what would happen if you ever went to dalaran....

I know VRAM is one of the only numbers on the card but it also means very little. About all that can be garnered from that info is how many years ago it came out, there's no way to tell how fast a card is based off its VRAM.

Anyway Phry is right there's basically nothing you can do to get more out of those cards. Make sure every graphic setting in the driver control panel is turned all the way down and all the graphic settings in WoW are turned all the way down especially the multisample setting.

You could possibly get another 1-2 fps by overclocking the cards but honestly you should look into a new cheap video card.
