Would be good if we had some game play footage of this? Don't think many people will preorder or even consider buying the game with out at least some game play footage.

There will not be a vid for a little while longer. The devs main concern is getting the final tweaks into the game before release.
Would it really take that long to have one guy fraps a fight and put it up on their website? As it stands now, this whole thing could be a scam. Why not take an hour or so and prove it's not?
They are adding in the new speed tree/grass to the game, that is why there is no video yet. Its either wait for the game to look decent or release a video that does not have that in there and the trolls will start raging.

This was actually what I was thinking as well. I am hoping this is the case at least. Like a lot of other people here, I read that feature list and couldn't help but be excited. I wont be pre-ordering blindly, but I am waiting to see if all the promises come through.
If they do...... then I could be into this for quite a while.

Speedtree would not be any reason to hold back on a video.Speedtree actually scare me,i really don't know how it handles Shaders/lighting if at all.Shaders and lighting really make a huge difference to graphics ,of course over all detail in textures /mesh/models means a lot as well,nothing that Speedtree would have anything to do with.

Here's the thing. These developers frankly do not care what the public thinks about their game until it's officially released. They'll release it when they are satisfied that it's ready. They will release gameplay footage when they feel that the time is right. They will start the advertising push for their game when they feel that it is ready for the spotlight.
I believe that they are actively trying to avoid the hype burnout that so many games currently experience in the run-up to launch. They have a website and active forums where the developers are regularly involved in discussions about what is/isn't in the game.
My recommendation is to check in on the forums at Xsyon.com as frequently as you'd like to. Worthwhile information will come from there first.

Regardless, you want a video but there isn't one. Wanting one very badly doesn't make one appear.
Just be patient. Nobody is making you preorder.
Be willing to wait for the right thing and it'll come along. Demand that you have it now and you are sure to be disappointed.

100% agree with this. They are not really pushing it, but you can tell they have started it.

Dont matter what they do now anyway game is going to fail soley based on the number of people they are letting in. Who wants to play a game where other players had months to spend in game to get ahead of the pack. This does not work for a pvp game and tehy wil soon find out if they try this let people in slowly thing they are spelling death for the game. Unless they are planning on wiping all servers once tehy think i's rdy for the masses then we have another fail on are hands. I for one will be asking for a refund of my preorder if I dont get into the servers first thing.
if you pre-ordered then you must be keeping up to date on the news right? So you know there will be a server wipe 1 week before release.

And just as it is weird to hype a game that there is no gameplay footage of yet, it is also pretty weird to already doomsay its "fail". Maybe the developers are just trying to take a different approach? And if you think it's scam or want to see some evidence of in what state it is first, then I have to tell you that you don't have to preorder. Just wait until the first people got in and the NDA gets lifted.
No-ones saying it's 'fail', people are just suspicious of a game taking pre-order without vids.

You just mentioned that they are taking pre order without showing any videos of gameplay. And if its really suspicious best thing is to not pre order. Common sense isn't it?
It wasn't me who started on preordering, if you read your post, you did. So ask yourself the question. I was just replying to your post anyway. And back to the topic: Many won't preorder if there are no vids. But that doesn't automatically mean the game is scam. I am still hoping they will release one.
No, no, no. Let me explain, your arguement being that hyping a game without vids is the same as slating the game without vids. Well the rather obvious point is, this is true, that is until you start to sell the game. At which point, without basic media the scales are more than slightly tipped imo.
That said I never said anything about scam, there is nowhere near enough evidence to start calling it a scam or vw and I hope not, in fact if/when they do release a vid I will be preordering (depending on what it's like).
