As I've started to play WAR again, I've noticed two things, despite players doomcries of how it's going to close, I read it was going to be launched in Asia soon, why close the other servers then? I also have noticed an increase in population since I started, when I started SCs popped every 10-15 minutes, now they pop once every 5-10, and yes, I have rerolled several times. I've also noticed ORVR is active 90% of the day...
...so who else is noticing the change that is slowly coming over WAR?
If you ask me, a good few more months, maybe a year, the addition of new races and likely some new content, and this game will be making a comeback.
Oh, and if you hate WAR, or are a troll, go away... shoo... shoo!
Shouldn't be on these parts of the forums if you dislike WAR.

You'd think someone who enjoys WAR would be able to handle a bit of forum PVP.
I dunno, I read the re-review on these forums and what was there did not at all seem very positive or indicate the game had gotten significantly better. Differing opinions I guess.

Yeah, I think the game is doing pretty OK atm. I'm hoping for some new content as well.
Differing oppinions are fine, and even (re-)reviews are great to prefigure somehow what is actually happening in the game (or in any game).
Nonetheless, oppinions and (re-)reviews can be as far away from "the personal truth" as it is humanly possible. Information, desinformation, fanboism and even explicit and malevolent rumour-mongering can be read everywhere, so any rational decision-making can be based only on your own experiences, imo. Trust noone, decide it on your own !
The game's development costs are already sunk. The game has already proven that it's greatest strength was selling boxes, rather than keeping subs. In that sense, releasing it more areas to cash in on that only makes perfect sense. There's no reason to take it as a sign that the game is suddenly doing better or something. They released in other areas back when their game was still in clear decline as well.
Stick your head back in the sand. You might see and hear something nasty called 'the truth' if you don't.
When I hear from reliable sources that the end game is fixed and actually fun, then I will likely resub. I'm not holding my breath.
The core PvP is better than WoW's, for sure. As far as bugs, polish, performance, and content are concerned - the game is sadly lacking. I see no liklihood that Mythic will/can fix it, and would like to see them sell it to someone who hires programmers who have actually graduated from high school.

Would you be the first person in the world whose *oppinion* covers "the truth" ? Erm, I doubt it
I ask for no trolls or haters... and they come right in... maybe I should've requested they get over here...

One could argue you baited them to begin with. This is an open forum for anyone to discuss the game, not just the people you think are worthy to reply to it.
The game is better, it just needs more people.
Playing: Rift, LotRO
Waiting on: GW2, BP
Why do you change your forum text to be tiny? I honestly have trouble reading your posts and have, more than once, simply given up. Why is there a need to change from the standard forum text?
Why bother discussing a game you dislike? A game you likely don't play... and a game that affects you in no way?
It's like complaining about how your neighbor refuses to drive a car...

@OP - im a newly returned player, for the 4th time, who has played on and off since launch to check out how the game has been progressing and improving, and i agree 100% it definitely is getting better. it's certainly not perfect, but no game, especially MMO is. They are continuing to make improvements, and if they stick to their plans it will get much better in the next couple of patches.
Ive trolled and hated about the game plenty in the past, because of its many issues, but im definitely liking it better this time around. So ignore the whiners and naysayers who are simply talking out their asses and probably havent touched the game in a year to see the improvements. Been running into a lot of other players who have just started returning too with the latest patch, and while there are a few complaints, almost everyone seems to be much happier with the current state of the game than before. Granted it shouldnt have taken them this long to get it to a good state, but regardless of how long its been, what it matters is where its at now, and will very soon be. At the very least theyre making the game better slowly but surely, rather than killing nearly anything that resembles what the original game was to cater to a bunch of casual anti-pvp whiners, like some other supposedly great games.
lol. played since lt began. Moved players from closed server to closed server. just cancelled my 2 accounts. goodbye to 3 lvl
40's ( 5 warlord on 1 ) and 10 other reasonably high-lvl toons. "good-luck" Asia!

Recently returned myself and have to say im loving it!
The pvp endgame is a lot of fun, even the city "sieges" are fun now. PvP in lotd is great. Loads of small scale fights, loads of 1v1's and group v group and plenty of zerg warfare for those who want it.
Population isn't amazing, but all you really need is 200-300 players in T4 pvp at the same time.
Last night we defended a keep with 150 order against almost 200 destro pretty much lag free, this is a common occurence on the server i play on (Norn)....that to me is epic in a way few other pvp mmorpgs can deliver, exceptions being maybe EvE, Planetside, DAoC or Darkfall.
PvE is still a bit lifeless, lotd helped with the new PQ's, tombs etc, but it's just not enough.
Still, if i wanted a great pve game, i would play WoW
Expresso gave me a Hearthstone beta key.....I'm so happy
Could you give an example of how a city siege works out for you and what parts of it are you enjoy the most?
The rest I can understand but the City siege part is a bit mystifying to me, I'd rather pull a toenail these days.
I asked what I asked, not what you made of it. Not going to dignify a dumb question like that with a proper answer.
Oh, (self)irony is my favourite trope of discourse
The person being asked said "city sieges are fun now". I read that as if something about city sieges has changed and was curious myself. Not sure if that makes any difference.
