Install Fails!

  Understandably the game is obviously new, but is the disc scratched? I bought UT2004 and one of the discs had fallin out of the case and got a fairly deep scratch on part of it and it would always stop at this one file. I had to disc doctor it mabye 18 times before it was smooth enough to read. After that it installed fine.

  Does it just stop and close the program, stop and freeze your computer, or stop and give you an error message, or just stop and allow you to do other things(cancel the program, exec other programs, etc.)?

  If it closes out the install program, you are going to have to go to the WoW tech support.
  If it freezes your computer, you are using up too much RAM and either need to end some programs in the task list or buy another RAM stick. I'd need to see the error message if you do get one to give you some advice and if it does allow you to do other things, you're going to need the Tech Support's help.

  Hopefully this helps.

  Edit: The file you named is kind of large. Be sure you give it ample time to do what it needs to do before you shut it down.

  Thanks for your replies...

  It seems like WoW didn't like my Sanyo DVD drive (first time I've had that problem!). I finally got it installed using my Asus CDrom writer but it was kinda slow (about 3/4 hour PHEW!)
