DaevianDaevian Member Posts: 17

I can still get to the SG:R ste but I'm not getting any joy at all with www.stargateworlds.com

Did it finally die?

It's probably down for maintenance...  give it a few and try again. It was up a couple hours ago.

The site (DNS) is either hacked or CME dropped SGW completely.

I get redirected to one of those advertisement sites.

    ...I fear the worse :(

It must be dead for good. No webmaster in his sane mind would cashpark his domain to update DNS servers.

SGW is to CME what Starcraft Ghost is to Blizzard, a failed project indefinitely put on ice for good. They should focus solely on SGR and nothing else but SGR... at least until it's released and succeeds well beyond their expectations.

Hmm I'm guessing a bill wasn't paid (not exactly a stretch considering CME has alot of previous) and it'll be back once it gets paid, if the database had finally gone poof and got totally corrupted I reckon it'd just be an error message. Time for Gary to get those MMOGULs to ante up for SGW/SGR ... again.

The general feeling is a hack, we just have to wait until Firesky opens for work today.

The game and the back story was great, but, unfortunately for Blizzard's slow pace developing, Console market evolved too fast for them to keep up with their absurdly high quality standards.

I wonder if Khestral or Shane would like to reassure the SGW fans and tell us all what's going on? Or maybe they'll do that when the bill has been paid? Still wouldn't hurt to let people know now that it isn't dead and that they're on the ball working hard to get it back up.

One thing to be down with a generic html error page, but .... the link to search for Miley Cyrus was just priceless!

Why would this be/have been a hack?  I'd expect more creativity were that the case.  Is it better to consider them victims?

Was a rumour floating around. Turns out it was just a dns problem.

Up as others stated. All sites do this as do site hosts from time to time, or can even have a powerfailure or even a hacker constant nailing the IP to slow and eventually crash the hosts server.

StarGate Worlds is about to have a revelation........

  • Wizzard7Wizzard7 Member Posts: 17

And what might this "revelation" be? Odd that nothing has been added in the months since you first prognosticated this.

Perhaps, in regards to CME, the "Book of Revalations"  i.e. the apocalypse.

CME is toast and has a receiver to plumb the toliet for  the few bucks that might be revocered.

    Game over. Literally.
