I just found this thread and LOL'ed really hard. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen coming from fans of a video game...

The fans are starting to spread rumors and lies about MMORPG.com because of threads I have made here, saying I work for Xsyon to bash MO and that MikeB is helping me to do it. Remember, if you criticize the game on the official MO forums, you get an infraction and get your thread deleted, even if you have a legitimate concern. Over here there is more freedom.

The poster tries to explain that I work for Xsyon because my name is linked to 2 Xsyon articles:

The problem is, the only thing I did was go to the news section of this site and submit news. Because anytime you submit news, you get credit for it, yet some MO fans are saying I work for Xsyon. That makes a lot of sense!

PS - Kiev, I never applied to be a GM, it was a joke post when Khaiyne made it, did you not see the big green smiley I used?

PPS - The only thing I have done for Xsyon is get them a community ventrilo (here). I am not a mod/admin. I do not even have access to the game yet.

PPPS - The mod on the MO forums did not even close it, he just moved it. Does the mod not see that it is bashing other forum members and mmorpg.com and its staff?

PPPPS - I got my tipster title for submitting MO news... should I return the money Henrik paid me? /sarcasm

The MO rash is spreading it seems. There has been a guy on the official Fallen Earth forums talking about how MO is so awesome and hardcore and Fallen Earth is an /fail because it isn't hardcore enough.

Wow... just wow...

Don't these guys have enough to worry about without trying to make up half-baked consiracy theories to explain why people dislike their "game"? I have never seen developers or fans so worried about what is being said on MMORPG.COM.. from Henrick's statement in IRC, to posts suggesting people make fake accounts to imitate posters here, to now basicly claiming that the entire website is under pay from Xsyson (or whatever) and they are the victim of a smear compaign organized by the moderation (unpaid) team here...

Apparently you weren't around for the Realms of Torment/Mourning fiasco.

They actually came here using the same names they had on the official forums to threaten and berate people.

To me it looks like it's all playing out again with MO, not quite as bad as RoT/Mourning, but eerily similar.

Making it sound like "The Fans" are doing it when it is infact one person doing it is kind of lame too.

And he didn't say you worked for them to bash MO and that mike helped, more like you worked for them, and bashed MO to get publicity for Xsyon, and he said that Mike had said that you worked for them. I can see how this rumour could've started, I myself don't believe it though, but rumours are rumours, all you can do is state your innocence and move on.

Posting excessive negative comments or baiting others to respond in a negative manner is considered trolling on the MMORPG.com forums.

For example: If there is one game that you did not enjoy, voicing your opinion is encouraged. Posting this opinion in every thread concerning that game to the point that it disrupts all other conversation is not tolerated.

Certain members of this forum do this constantly. They make sure they do not make personal attacks and they make sure that they back up their statements with reasons...to keep just inside the warning line. Seeing as how certain members of these forums posted pretty much nonstop in a specific forum for quite a while (a significant % of their overall posts)...they were probably in violation of the trolling rules multiple times.

All I did was say that a specific poster was extremely harsh on MO and got a warning for flaming. Apparently implying that someone acts a specific way is an attack, even when this statement makes sense in the context of the topic the thread was in. I've seen multiple instances where certain posts by this individual could be construed as implying stupidity on the person they are reponding to but I would doubt action was taken. It's all good though!

You missed this:

Example: "Game X sucks." is not a legitimate comment. "Game X sucks, because..." is acceptable.

Every post I made were about different topics and issues, they were not all about the same thing. I did not make multiple threads like "This game sucks" and "I hate this game" and "This game is bad" over and over as that would be trolling... Everything was talking about different things, which does not violate the rules.

and have I done that? No.

Like I said before, every post I made about MO was about different situations, issues, news. I have never made mutliple threads saying "this game sucks" or anything like that.

PS - I believe I made a thread before that said "Don't get into the hype" or something, which I got banned for. Which is legitimate and I do agree I broke the rules, but all the threads I have made after that have been about actual events from the game, which most included screen shots.
