I see from the guys who played this a lot that it is way too easy. EAsy mode is becoming EA's hallmark and while a few games buck that trend we will see them marginalised over the coming years if the big profits come from dumb and dumber games like this.
Wow, that was amazing, but I have this idea to make it even better. If only there was a way we could take the main parts of the game engine, art assetts, textures etc, and then put all them on something, lets call it a DVD, and then we could install the contents from the DVD onto our home PC's. Just imagine the benefits, the reduced amount of network traffic required, not being at the mercy of ISP's and there bandwidth throttling. Imagine if we could play these games outside of a browser, in full screen, in the resolution we want, with the graphics options we want etc.
Jebus, no wonder people are saying mmorpg is going down, is being sunk by their own community, what I see here is a great game even tho I'm no fan of golf or slutty personas. It took me less that an minute to start playing, !!LESS THAN A MINUTE!!. But what you narrowminded people only get to see are the game's flaws. of course there are flaws, and they seem to be working on them.(the game is being updated while i let off steam XD) I would bet all my money that if god(or godess) himself developed the ultimate game you would still bash it, maybe cause is "Too perfect". you need to stop with the "glass half empty" mentality, it's not productive, or maybe is that you guys think tha "ooh if I trash as many games as possible people will think that I'm a ubermegahyperleet hardcore gamer and girls will love me!!!"...yeah, keep thinking that sport, girls totally dig whinny guys...
This game is pretty addictive and nice for some quick fun. It is pretty easy in that there aren't any flubs or totally deranged shots that I've seen so far. The only problem my guy is having is he's weak, he slices constantly and pushes every one of his puts, but he consistantly does all three so it's pretty easy to adjust to once I realized his problem. Try as I might, I can't touch people who've been playing for awhile and can shoot 16 under. I'm playing about bogey golf (average of 1 over on all holes).
I don't think I'd pay for it unless I had money to blow but it does seem like something my dad would actually enjoy and may serve as a stepping stone to getting his retired butt to enjoy his computer more and everything it's capable of.
I agree, the technology is awesome, and it is likely the next step in the evolution of technology. But online sports games seem extremely stupid to me.
I'm just stating my opinion. Sport video games = waste of time. Yes, even a Hockey video game (Hockey is the best sport, you know?). I'd rather get all the gear and hit the ice, get some exercise, and nail a wrist-shot and score a goal, in REAL LIFE.
Sport Video Games are understandable for people who are otherwise disabled, but if it is within your capability to play a sport in real life, versus sitting on your ass and playing a video game of the same sport, then why don't you just play the damn sport?
If you have no interest in playing the sport in real life, then why the hell would you play a video game based on a sport you have no interest in?
Additionally, I won't play GTA for the same reason. I can go outside and run over some people on the road, but I have absolutely no interest in doing such a thing, so why would I play GTA?
Now, if GTA had dragons flying overhead shooting fire-breath at you, and aliens swarming over buildings and giant mantis-frog-rats spewing up from the sewers, then I'd play that game for sure. I see enough real life brutallity in the news, I don't want to recreate all that depressing drama shit in a video game. I actually loathe the creators of GTA for creating their pro-crime, shit game.

Dont care how good the game is or isnt. A guy who cheats on his wife shouldn't exactly get to have more games with him in them, thus sort of being a role model or whatever. I don't get why with that scandal anyone would even want to touch him with a 10 foot pole.
Well I admit to knowing little about how its done, but being an age old TWO fan I'm damned impressed by the quality versus the versions I've bought and installed discs of software. Feels like home to me.

You're serious? Are you expecting that a globally recognised sporting icon somehow becomes less bankable when his face is splashed across the front pages of newspapers round the world as well as just the back.

If you bothered to pay any attention to the fallout after he was found out? Yes I'm serious. He lost a ton of sponsors over his infidelitiy. But then maybe your the kind of person not bothered by that. Yeah great idea, lets endorse a guy who cheated on his wife with not one woman, but multiple ones! That makes it look like you ethier approve of his actions or just don't care. Not a great idea.

From all the people who COULD care less about the game I guess it's going to be a big hit.
Shesh, now I've got a peeve to put up there with people who say irregardless.

This is an interesting evolution of gaming, provided Internet connectivity evolves as well, we may end up playing many games inthis fashion instead.
Allong with the rising F2P approach, I can see this working pretty well in a few years.
