Debating on whether to play or not.

frankahfrankah Member UncommonPosts: 73

Okay guys. Haters, leave now. I've played the trial, 3 separate times, and well, each time was a different class. I liked the game in Tortage, and right outside. But i'm not sure If I can find a decent guild on a GOOD PVP server, so I can do both PvE AND fun PvP. if anyone can tell me an active PvP server (Not WoW active, filled with a plethora of 12 yr old epeens) I may take a buddy invite from you, so you get a free month. Especially if i can whisper you and go hey! Hook me up with little details AKA ins and outs, so I can learn and be proficent.

Thanks!

Franker

I'm fairly new at the game - bought at launch, tried once or twice since and now actively hooked. I'm having a great time and this is finally shaping up to be an awesome game. I'm playing a melee class (Conq) and the combat feels great.

I'm on the Cimmeran PvP-RP server, but haven't joined a guild yet and since I'm fairly inexperienced will not be able to provide much to make a buddy key worth it - so I'm not asking for it. Just wanted to say that the server has been fun so far - I'm up to lvl 19. In the evenings (US EST) there are some higher level gankers running around Underhalls and White Sands but not too bad. I intend to revisit them when I'm lvl 25 as well to show them what they're really made of .

Wish I knew, got this game the other day and installed it last night, been waiting 6 hours now for the patches. I forgot how much I dislike patching up MMO's lol. -.-

Waiting for Guild Wars 2, SW:ToR and STO.
    Currently playing Guild Wars, LoTRO).
Played WoW, GW, CO, DDO, RoM, WAR, LoTRO, Allods (Beta) + Tons more that aren't even worth mentioning!

Unless you have a lot of time off  and want something to do I would wait for the expansion.  There should be an influx of new players then and it might be more fun for you.  Give you a community to join with.

I have not played in a while but was pretty active.  Even with its flaws at launch it was still a much funner game then most wow clones.  Combat kept you engaged and the setting was extremely nice with well written quests.

If I remember correctly, I have a level 22 Sin, and she kicked ass, she was just frail. But I do want to come back, and I'm looking for a guild to play with, since I hear alting is a big thing in AoC.

I recently resubbed and am playing on Fury now. I don't know whether you play on US or EU servers but if its the latter don't hesitate to add 'fuzzywuzzy'  (I didn't make that character!) and we can hook up some time.

Since I am logged, let me give a short comment. AoC is a good game. Nothing more, nothing less. It's a game.

What makes me post here though, is that this game for some funked up reason has received more than it's fair share trashtalk. It's really out of proportion with how much content and quality you now can find in this game.

One thing though. get into a bigger guild fast. It makes the fun so much funner ;)

I beta'd AoC and played at launch and much of the trash talk dealt at AoC during that time was well-founded.  In the months after release, FC screwed up quite a few classes nerfing and buffing skills. Also PvE content was lackluster after Tortage.

That was then... Now,  I think that FC buckled down and really made some dramatic gameplay changes that warrant anyone give AoC a second look.  Is it perfect? No, but I can't think of any MMO that is.

Must agree about joining a guild ASAP... especially on a PvP server.  Much more fun experience and you have a little protection against the griefers on White Sands Isle (at least while you're there... once you leave Tortage griefing is not as frequent).

Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level, then beat you with experience.

Well I took the plunge and subscribed for a few months. For some reason tho, it says my payment isn't going through? Anyone ever have this problem?

Anyways, I should be in-game from tomorrow on. (Playing old school Breath of Fire 3 for PSX atm :P)

Some banks deny charges that are overseas. I am assuming that you are in the United States. My bank does this and I had to get with them on allowing the payment to go through. It is annoying as hell. However, I purchased a 1 yr subscription when they were selling it with a free copy of the expac coming out. So for a year I do not have to worry about my bank giving me problems.

If the payment fails, check with your bank.

Does it say in the products you own the expansion?

When I go to my account page, the expansion is listed on my account.
