uhh... 70% of the game's population is NON-N.A.

    10% are gold spammers

    10% are Botters

    and 10% are N.A. players.

also... i've playd this game since CB2 and they STILL haven't done ANYTHING about the bots or spam.

Why should I believe you?  How do I know that  you just don't have some kind of agenda going here?  They gave  you an email to deal with the issue posting here makes me think you are up to games.

Its even worse one country says we are like this and if you are not like us we dont want you and close our borders.

    Globalization?...keep dreaming never gonne happen.

Move as species towards a better world.......yeh right in your dreams maybe, but  for real i serieus doub that.

As long you have all kinds of different religion and different cultures, most countrys will not get along very well im affraid.

In some limited way we have internet globalization but for most part its all seperate even in europe with language barriers and culture we dont socialize togheter they all want there own language servers/forums/sites.

Maybe oneday but thats far off im affraid.

This is a legal matter, the game was always advertised as a NA only game, they are trying to sort legal things out and see what they can do to let ouside NA play.  Deadline was April 30th.

On that note, Global Aika is being launched which is not open to NA.

Yeah, that is a very good idea...in some instances you only need a proxy server to register then you can still keep playing even if you have a different IP address...

Imho globalization has gone far enough. I dont like this whole "one species" thing....may be appropriate in terms of things  like environmental protection. But seriously i fear the day everbody is absolutely equal and everyybody happily eats his burger >.< you can't distiniguish a german of an american. I think it would be sad losing all these things which makes a nation unique(tradition food etc).....it's just an example i am not anti-USA ;)

at Topic: Things like this happening can be avoided easily by not being complete shitheads -.-

    Globalisation is a good thing..

But it will take another 500 years.

And people will not loose their identity because of the globallisation, it has nothing to do with that, current countries might changes intoo nations of planet earth with each entitled to their own identity..

But the united nations off will have true political power and means to keep peace all over the globe.

true globalization is a nice thing but i agree its going to be longer for people to adapt.

i just wished gpotato handled it better. At least aika global is honest by saying "if aika is provided in your country then there would ip ban".

Why couldnt gpotato do it liked that?

im still going to play anyway aika global still!

    News from Gpotato:

    Friday, April 30 2010 - 10:35 AM

    by Lingo

    Dear Aika players,

This is the final update on the Aika service restriction issue announced on April 7, 2010. We informed the community that gPotato’s version of Aika Online would be restricted to the North American region. On April 7 (PDT), we limited new player registrations from outside of North America, but did not block existing non-North American player accounts.

We’re pleased to announce that non-North American player accounts which existed on or before April 7 (the day the registration IP block took effect) will be able to play gPotato’s version of Aika. The registration restriction will remain in effect for new accounts outside of North America. We realize that the past few weeks have been a time of uncertainty for the community, and we appreciate your patience while we resolved this matter. We thank you for your understanding and invite you to join us on the forums and in the land of Lakia for all of the wonderful plans we have in store!

People should stop writing bs about globalisation. Some MMO's just have one global server that anyone connects too. The fact that it doesnt work for Aika, is their CHOICE, not because its not possible.

I agree, its not about globalization, its more about the decisions that the developers and their corresponding publishers or distributors make. Heck, there are a lot of games around there that have local versions/servers in certain countries and or regions, and it was the distributors choice to make it like that...Not because of some anti-globalization BS.

Well, it is a stupid choice. It is not about globalisation as such. Internet is global, so should the game be. It is like if there was one facebook for EU, one for USA, one for Japan and an IP block for everyone else. It would not go far then, wouldn't it?

  • porkypieporkypie Member Posts: 6

I certainly hope that it wont happen again. Since I was the only one registered before the ip block among my friends, I am not able to share AIKA with them. Eventhough i can still play the game, i would want to play it alongside my buddies and form our own party. We're keeping our fingers crossed that Aika global will be available soon.

omg we have the same problem. i cant even set times on raiding and such.

i just wish aika global would release already so me and my friends can play
