What do you guys think?

Ok, firstly I just want to mention the fact that the first page of threads should be a lot longer...half the forum is sticky threads :(

Secondly, what do you guys like in an MMO?

Have you guys played Fiesta? That's actually the MMO I am playing right now.  I'm actually involved with a fansite for it as well as other community projects but umm....out of curiosity, who here plays Fiesta? What is your personal opinion on it?  I swear I won't kill you if the game sucks (but if you do say the game sucks, explain why) lol.

How would you compare Fiesta with any other MMO? (wierd question but yea, I'm curious about that one as well).

Have you guys seen the new boss release in Fiesta?  There was a guy who killed himself like 3 or 4 times sacrificing his character's life to allow everyone to see what the new boss looked like.

And for the first time ever, Outspark gave all the high level players what they wanted: new quests.  That was in their last patch release.

But yea, what do you guys think about the game in comparison to other MMOs?

Nope Never heard of it, Fiesta that is. And it does not really look like somthing I'm interesting in by just looking at the video.

But you're question. Secondly, what do you guys like in an MMO? Was a quite interesting question.

Personally I would like to see a MMO that take plase in North America around 1861–1865. North Vs South. A huge sandbox game where you can experience the fast landscape of the west, fight in the war, rob banks, gamble in the saloon, dig for goald, hurd cows accross the land to experience New York city life to plantaion slave to gold prospecter in the western teritories or as an indian.

However I never think there will be a game like this within the next 20 - 30 years if ever. The project is too large.

I might give it a try out of mere curiosity, as I've never heard of it up to now, but "anime" and "ingame weddings" have already ticked two of the boxes of things that I hate in games.  That, and the disturbingly little-girlish graphics they inevitably use for female characters - what is it with the Asian market?  Why do they seem to love that type of graphical representation?  Weird.

lol, that's a good question regarding Asian games.  I dunno...I guess, that's just the way it is in the Asian culture.  WHy change something that's been done for generations.  They simply improve it over the years.  If they were to change the graphics on the anime, it would lose all of its fans because there wouldn't be any originality or the same "personality" to it anymore.  People wh would say "FINALLY, the anime graphics changed! I love it!" would be contrasted to those who were original fans of the anime and be like "what the heck happened...?"

As for in-game weddings and such, you don't like it? Why not?  I think it's pretty cool since it actually brings in some of reality into a virtual game, which is awesome.

As for the video, Outspark just released a new Fiesta trailer today.  You can see the new video on Youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RP1dwjt-PZo

In my own opinion, when I saw the trailer, I was like....FINALLY, they released a new trailer.  I think they did a great job with it.  I love the new footage and the catchy music.

Played it for a while, found some item that looked like a fat pikachoo that once equiped would sit on my shoulder.  My interest in that game lasted about a week and I played it with friends.  I credit them being there as the main reason I even lasted that long.  The game's graphics didn't do anything for me and I found the game play to be rather simplistic.  I wanted something more cerebral I guess and Fiesta just can't deliver.  Didn't bother getting involved in the community because I quite frankly didin't notice one due to the massive amount of spam in the game.

In my opinion it's a very simplified version of a bunch of games out there today that is "free to play" and not what I'm really interested in.

No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

Fiesta was fun at first but it (for me at least) rapidly became same old, same old. Music is good though and it's a solid system overall.

I have heard of Fiesta. I know it is a free to play MMO. The thing is, it is not for me. I prefer games that look a lot better than Fiesta does. I need to be visually stimulated before I bother to even try a game.
