but i have some questions:

1. i saw that they did another server merge, that means that the few remaining should have a quite high amount of population. true?

2. how often you group to do instances? enough pop at every level to do so?

3. endgame: before there were just 3 dungeons: 2 tier 1 and 1 tier 2. what about now?

4. the new pvp system (10 lvls) how good does it work?

5. ETA of expansion?

6. and final. worth resubbing now?

thanks

i play on Cimmeria and yes population is quite high. not sure about other servers.

It's usually not a problem finding groups ( on Cimmeria) for level 80 raids/dungoens on a daily basis. it can be difficult to find groups at lower levels thoug.

end game they added Iron Tower (6 man dungeon). they have added T3 raids but i'v never done them. i'm not a huge pve guy.

as for how "good" pvp level 10 works.....not sure what you mean by that. nobody is at level 10 nor will be any time soon. they have changed how you gain pvp xp so premades minis are all the rage now days. it is easier to get to level 5 pvp then before. world pvp is also healty with the Shrines of Bori.

    no word on expansion.

is it worth resubbing?  it depends why you left.

Where you just bored? had 10 level 80s? had farmed all pve content? didnt like pvp? not enough pvp? didnt like pve? not enough pve? not enough quests? was it a problem with sieges? crafting? didn't like class imbalance? played only at launch and couldnt stand the buggs? too linear? too instanced? didnt like the guild's city thing? didnt like the economy? too many gankers? not enough people to gank?

the reasons why i left are the following. please feel free if any of these have changed in the last 6 months:

    - guild raid impossible (sieges): we all had <5 fps (all machines, regardless of what VGA/CPU), until eventually the servers crash

    - no end game pve: just 2 dungeons and 3 raids

    - open pvp: the ONLY pvp there was, was located in the level 75-80 quest zone (cant remember the name, with a circular city up north and a couple dungeons), and was all zerging, no real pvp

    - arenas: i mainly left for this reason. its not age of conan, but Mage of conan (tm). all casters had too much power and could shred any melee with ease, so all arenas were about what team had more casters

as for the levelling up, despite being a bit slow, there is a lot of content (grinded like 2-5% of the time, which was perfectly bearable) so its not a problem

and i think these were the main reasons

    feel free to comment

    anyone?

Can't say anything about the endgame, but can tell you that from a new players view the levelling isn't slow at all, and no matter what I'm doing in game I don't usually drop below 50fps- and thats with everything on DX10+ maxxed settings. My computer isn't even one of the "monsters" some people play on...so I would guess they fixed some performance issues.

I play on the "Set" server, and always see it is at least at medium population. While levelling I have seen many other players in all of the zones, and there are always people in global looking for a few more classes to get one of the many(from what I can tell based on the names they call the raids) raids going. Not just the same folks either, seems like lots of different people are making groups for them.

That would be the extent of my knowledge based on what you asked, if you were going to be playing a new character, I would say come on back to the game- but until I make it to endgame...i dont know :D

the game does run very smoothly now... unfortunately some of the bugs from launch are still there, i came across 1... just 20 minutes into the game as i entered the "tortage" area.

my hair went from black to blonde.

something that has occured to many players since launch and was all over the forum so so so long ago.. as soon as i saw that.. i laughed... and deleted the "trial" ... i mean jeez... that was just too funny

was happy, at these graphic settings my FPS was hitting 50+ (jpegs do the game no justice compared to whats on my screen), something that would never have happened during launch....but if they can't get my hair colour right... then... how many more of those same launch bugs will i actually find, not repaying them money to find out.

pretty game, the way the light dances in the jungle, shining through the canopy hitting the grass and trees perfectly as shadows dance.

I had the same problem with my hair changing to a lighter color, though it only happed 1 or 2 times in tortage, and hasn't happened since I left into the real world.

They have done patches to help improve framerate in sieges.  Whether or not it helps your particular PC will depend on your hardware.

Endgame they added the Tarantia Commons a 78+ zone with six-man instances (Crow's Nest and Iron Tower).  They also added a tier 3 raid dungeon for those that wanted to progress further.   In addition, they added a token system so even if you loss the roll for the epic, you get something for your time.

If you're on a pve server, only the pvp zones are open pvp.  If you are on a pvp server, good luck most zones would be considered "open".

Don't play arenas so can't comment on those.

Grind was eased by adding another zone, Ymir's Pass, in the 55-65 range.  Also they added a veteran system so the longer you are subscribed you earn vet tokens that can be used (among other things) to buy xp potions.

Not denying the bug but swapping weapon sets fixes it, so at least it's easy to deal with. (Shift+R)

If the colour of you hair is you big problem then keep playing toons in games like WOW. The game is great with fewer and fewer problems/bugs. The game got most improved game in 2009 and with the last paths with the new PVP and the uppcomming expantion in q2. The game is getting a big boost.

Only  had the hair color change bug a few times, rather minor bug if you ask me.  Probably why it's not high on Funcom's Fixit List.  Usually if I load into a new zone or take off/put on a helm it clears it.  Half the time I wouldn't even notice it to be honest.
