Okay, so I am having problems with my current PC, and we think the only way to fix it is to replace the motherboard. So, I think it will just be better to buy a whole new PC. I am looking at a Velocity Micro. This is the PC I am thinking about getting. http://www.velocitymicro.com/wizard.php?iid=157&edit=1&oldwizarditems=19581%2C25861%2C29633%2C29632%2C19584%2C25297%2C29703%2C19602%2C19580%2C19650%2C19590%2C25866%2C19614%2C19617%2C19609%2C20571%2C19597%2C19654%2C19604%2C28830%2C25247%2C29455%2C19632%2C19642%2C28925%2C29488%2C19611%2C25245%2C19639%2C19578%2C19640%2C19587%2C19592%2C19663%2C20565
Tell me what you think, and if you know of something better for around that same price, or cheaper let me know. I can't afford any more than that.
Thank you.

mm?is your computer that bad?can you say what the issue is?what computer is it!intel ,amd!
graphic card size ,ram speed?with these 3 thing we can say if its worth it to fiddle with your system
because frankly the system you shown is a low system you are better off continuing shopping!it take a lot of abuse or broken fan to burn a mobo!
That is a terrible PC for a terrible price.

Same price, 4x the PC.
Well, a few a weeks ago my comptuer started freezing and slowing, I thought it was a hard drive issue, so I ran out bought recovery discs and a new HDD. Came home, and the installed the HDD. The BIOS recognized the HDD and DVD drive half the time, and didn't the other half. So, I figured the SATA controller on the motherboard died, so I ordered the part from newegg, and installed it yesterday. Now, the BIOS isn't recognizing the HDD and DVD, but the RAID BIOS is, and I can't get the recovery discs to work, it keeps giving me an error. So, I figured, it is either the motherboard dying or bad recovery discs.

probably the bios itself!by adding a new component!you might have to change the bios setting for it to detect the new part
did you do as the instruction said (either the booklet or went online to the mobo website AND the new part you baught site to make sure everything is set-up properlly in the bios
the setting you had before were before your new part you might have to fiddle the bios for everything to work properlly
normally the site of the new part should say what to change .
did you google your part number and bios setting(exemple:1234-5678 bios setting ?)
it should come up with recommendation in various site!change one at a time and only the one pertaining to your issue !
as for the issue before all this happened it might be just the battery on the motherboard!
(you do change this once in a while right!)
or bios i would say to reinstall bios without the new part if it doesnt work reinstall bios with the new part!
like i say its often very small issue but it give no end of problem!
you ll need a diskette(3. something )if you got an oldersystem that cant update bios with a usb drive
That really is a bad deal, if you know how, or have a buddy who's computer oriented, I'd order the parts off of tigerdirect or newegg, you can build an amazing PC for sub $900.

Thanks for your help, but when I added it all up in the cart on newegg, it came out to 942 dollars. (Minus keyboard, mouse, and monitor.) Also, I haven't put together a PC before, and I don't know how hard it is, or if I have the time to do it.

Best performance per money for gaming in the 900-1000$ range, though I don't know your prices in the US.
I check out Tigerdirect a lot since i am in Canada. This deal here is pretty good, only limitation i see is the PCIExpress is not 2.0,but i am sure neither is the OP's posted system.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
ATI Radeon HD 5750 and Core i5-750 are crap?
Huh.... ok....
he meant they arent top of the line so this mean on the long run they ll die quicker support wise
check me i took amd top of the line slot the one amd will push a long while the third version
intell 1156 slot isnt their top of the line its like the am2 for amd
why settle for 1156(am2)when you know the futtur is the 1333 slot or whatever its called(am3 in amd)
these small issue dont look like much but in 3 year when you dicide to change porcessor for a new one
you will curse us if we recommend a 1156 .itsa good for company but not for gamer in the long term
I have the same PC and this runs like a champ. No issues whatsoever.
My setup with a ATI Radeon HD 5850 and a Phenom II x4 945 beats your shit!
So yes, compared to what I wrote they ARE crap.

That makes:
936$ with case+ HD 5850
811$ with case + HD 5770
836$ without case + HD 5850
711$ without case + HD 5770
You can google for various benchmarks and you will notice that amd is NOT far behind to intel, yet an amd mobo+cpu ~ 250$ while u pay 490$ for a core i7 920 + mainboard. That's about twice the price for same, sometimes lower, sometimes 5% higher performance.
Go for intel if you use adobe software a lot, you will notice an increase there, but if your only concern is gaming and casual video/photo editing go for amd.
And 8gb ram is a waste, no game/programm uses more than 3 gb right now.
8GB definitely is a waste of money, but that's the problem with buying prebuilts like that is they are never allocated properly for gaming.
Hey Noquarter, I read something in your post that Ive wondred about but never knew about. About 8 gigs being too much for gamming. Why is that? Not trolling just seems something I need to know.
Sure, 32-bit user mode apps (99% of games) are arbitrarily restricted by Windows to 2GB of RAM for themselves, so even if you have 16GB of ram the game will only have access to 2GB. This makes 4GB pretty much perfect, you'll have 2GB for your game (way more than most games use anyway), ~1GB for OS, and about 1GB leftover for whatever you want to run in the background (browser, media player, etc..).
Since RAM is just workspace having more than necessary doesn't make things any faster, but having less than necessary drastically slows your PC down since then it has to swap what it's working on to the hard drive whenever it runs low on memory. So when budgeting your PC it's better to pick up 4GB and put the rest into the GPU instead of blowing another $100 going up to 8GB.
Btw there are work arounds for the 2GB limit for 32-bit apps but no games use it, and 64-bit apps aren't restricted by Windows but I can only think of Hellgate: London off-hand.
Ty Sir.
Thank you all for your suggestions, instead of building my own PC I have been thinking of buying this PC. It has a lot of the similar specs that you listed. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229172
