And do you control all your characters on those 3-4 clients at once? Then it's not multi-boxing. We went through this on page 1 of the thread image

I do use all these clients at once yes, 2 are my pvp toons and 2 are my mining toons, mining toons can pretty much work by themselfvs int he background with minimal attendance but it needed every 10 minutes or so while my main pvp toons ones a scout/tackler and the main is my DPS which I do use constantly at the same time during active pvp. I tihnk im missing your point though.

I don't find it sad at all, how is the fact that he is passionate about a hobby of his any different than anyone else being passionate about a hobby they enjoy?

Some people spend hundreds of dollars on 40K Miniatures each time they buy new additions to add to there collection or fill out an army, every week.

Some people spend hundreds of dollars to add new video games to there library, every week.

Some people spend hundreds of dollars to increase the size of a Movie collection, every week.

Some people spend hundreds of dollars making luxury gingerbread houses, every week.

Some people spend hundreds of dollars on trading card games, every week.

Some people spend hundres of dollars on clothes, to increase the size of there wardrobe, every week.

I personally think it is a very clever way of handling multiboxing in EVE and if he is that passionate about the game then all the power to him.

Porn. You forgot to mention porn. Yea, I'll go there image

If you think this is OK for people to be doing, then just don't get mad about people selling fake money for real money, in your game.

Now I don't feel so hardcore with three accounts and planning a fourth. His pics give me a few ideas for my own setup, but I don't think I'll be quite as elaborate as that. I was thinking a triple screen (24 to 32 inch - decisions, decisions!), two systems running two clients on each. I'm actually ordering the parts now for the system builds with the new GeForce 480s in Tiple SLI and Intel Core i7-980X Processor Extreme Edition but can't decide if I want to go 3D monitors or not.

Ingenuity at its best there Zhek Kromtor!

Overkill for EvE, methinks you are willy waving.

And who said anything about EVE being the only thing that I do with my systems? I also have a system in my bedroom hooked up to my old 22" Viewsonic and the 32" LCD HDTV, one in my puter workshop, a Home Theater Media system (hooked up to my 55' Sony LED LCD HDTV), a laptop, and a server, all networked together (I won't mention the Droid, XBox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, PSPgo, nor the DSi XL that I just ordered... OOPS! I guess I just did), and a few miscellanious extra systems just for backup. By your reasoning, since this is an EVE discussion, then I must use them all for EVE.

Now how's that for waving my willy?  image

Huh? CCP basically said you could multibox during one of their promos about setting up an account and the first month would be like $9.95

    http://www.eveonline.com/community/newsletters/vol039.html

Are you looking to start a second EVE Online account? Did you receive this newsletter from a friend and you're interested in starting your own subscription? For a limited time, CCP Games is offering a reduced fee for the first month of EVE Online for all new Buy It Now accounts. Activate your new Buy It Now account today and receive 30 days of game time for only 9.95. Offer expires April 14th, 2010.

Why else would you get a second account if you weren't allowed to multibox. I mean c'mon only a fool would think players would actually put ONE of the accounts in use at a time and not dual-log.

    Again:

    http://www.eve-search.com/thread/1062443/page/1

This is the issue with companies these days...and infact the world. Most everyone tries to be politically correct and doesn't want to say "Yes" or "No" to anything. Companies (like Blizzard) have stepped up and said multiboxing, provided you are not automating stuff, is perfectly allowed; regardless of software or hardware key-casting.

Fact, I think this article is calling "FIRE!" when it's just some thick fog. CCP's GM only 3-dayed him because 12 players with similar names all in the same place looks like gold sellers. And it's faster to quickly ban said accounts and then look through the logs. Be like a police officer asking each person at a bank robbery to explain why they are there. Instead it's "Everyone stay where you are."

Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising everytime we fall.

I wanna know how many of those accounts he pays for in plex and how long it takes him playtime wise each month to make that much isk.

Having to sit in front of Eve 80+ hours a week is not a life I would want for myself and Im starting to feel bad for him.
