Spin it any way you want the game is in terminal nose dive mode and no amount of cryptic promises of "it is coming" or "we were just talking about that" is going to help.
Nonsencial production cycle(less than 2 years) Poor managment, Crazy PR stunts that always backfired and a truly bad publisher(Atari) have created this perfect storm of stupidity. The result well you can see the results and it is not pretty.

Can you post on the official forums with a trial account? You'd probably have more fun taunting the CDF until you get banned.

I am still playing the game (2 more days). but the funny thing i used the term fanboi twice and in a thread i did not create the thread and they did not ban me but they took away my posting privelages but did not ban me. Did not even get the 4 points needed for a ban just 2 forum demerits. they are clamping down hard on any type of dissent on the STO forums.
Censorship at work.
No i did'nt they stopped me from posting on the STO official forums so here is where i will have my say.
It's ok soon they will have to start offering a free trial and/or a referral system, and then it will be easy to sign up for an account and troll the official forums.
Cryptic is trying a Customer Development approach to MMO creation.
Good because i will be their airing my grievances the moment they do.
There isn't much point anymore really.
Cryptic knows the game is going down in flames, players do (but many can't bring themselves to admit it), the gaming world on the whole knows it too.
It isn't news that STO is circling the drain thanks to Cryptic's ineptitude, anyone with any knowledge of the game can see the bright pink writing on the wall.
At this point, it's really more of a "Remember that awful Star Trek MMO? Shame it failed, as I love Star Trek."
Who really cares anymore. The game is a train wreck, has been since launch, bury the corpse.
Actually what you guys dont get is people deserve it now. How long you gonna whine and bitch I mean really? If your not going to bring anything positive why speak at all anymore. And again what people fail to understand and I say everywhere I see the noobness happening. NO game ever starts out glitterly and gold the MMORPG business model is launch what you have. Test the waters see what works patch patch expansion. It's been happening like this 25 years if you guys really wanna change it stop buying the games. Make a movement for that it will take everyone to stop it bitching on their forums is just annoying and immature and wont fix anything. In fact i'd censor your behinds too its only been like 2 or 3 months stfu lol. Wow sucked a WHOLE year before it got good. Same goes for everquest anarchy online ultima hell conan just got some shine going.
Alot of the problem in the MMORPG scene is 80% of the scene doesnt even understand the scene its playing in. And all it does is bitch whine carry on and pay for the things its bitching whining and carrying on about. And the game isnt going down the tubes just because of whining. It still continues to generate money regardless of whiners and crybabies. It's name and brand alone carries it along with the fact its not that bad. The companies stock continues to be stable as well. So just because fan boys are whining and the band wagon trolls are howling doesnt mean anything. The same idiots that said aion is failing hmm last time I check its still number 3 subscription wise. With over 1.5 million subs times 14.99 yea um thats not failing. Guess what STO has twice that with all the complaining never underestimate the power of the trekkie.

P.S Even Cryptic wildest claims are only of 100k subscriptions. Not sure where you're getting the 3 million subscribers to STO from.

Yes it is and on the STO forums it would be gospel and if you disput their claims you get branded a hater and then banned with a wink and a nod by craptic to the fanbois.
Notice how he did not dispute why the game is in a nose dive he only attacked the messenger--it is their favorite tactic
3 million subs from STO? Cryptic can make 5 more MMO's just from the profits they've made lol!

Like he said, never underestimate the power of the trekkie...to make excuses for companies and accept any old drivel as long as it has the Star Trek logo on it. Cryptic are relying on the same apologists that Rick Berman relied on for so long.

I am trying to post my opinion on here but my posts keep dissapearing.
I played the game for a month from the early headstart and was hugely dissapointed in the lack of immersion and good pvp games.
The games graphics are nice.
1 What MMO was out in 1985? The earliest I can find is 1994.
2 95% of the percentages posted on forums are made up
3 You're correct there. It's going down the tubes because it's a half finished game that decided to charge a full game price
