I can't help but wonder with this volcano erupting in Iceland, how it will affect EvE and gameplay?

CCP also have a big studio in US. But I don't think it will affect Iceland much worse than the rest of Europe, few planes are flying no so public transportations are slower. It is a mess for people living close to it but in most part of the country life goes on.
If Katla wakes up it can be really bad however, it is a lot larger and it is not unlikely that it will.
All space stations are closed down duo to the ash cloud.

mmm CCP employees in iceland cant fly anywhere, so increased use of video and audio conferencing, more productivity, they get entertained watching the lava flows while having a drink?

I read last time Katla erupted, 25% of the Icelandic population perished due to the toxic gases from the volcano. I read if Katla erupts as is to be expected, the ice cap on Iceland will melt, basically destroying Iceland, and of course, raising the ocean water level.
tbh they could have put it in a urn, considerin the size of the economy of its untimely creamation.

I don't see the relation between de eruption and an MMO, but that could just be me.
The volcano obviously erupted due to cluster ventilation. It got too hot in the server room, so instead of doing like they did (last?) winter - opening a window and letting snow in (which resulted in water = not good) - they decided to ventilate all the heat to a remote location. Little did they know that the heat it would melt the earth and cause magma to rise.
Oh well. Shit happens.
