looking for a unique MMO
ive been looking at alot of the games on the game list here but i still havent found one that matches what im looking for, and i was hoping someone here could help me.
the things im looking for are :
- first off f2p and already released
-big open that i can explore
- more to do than just combat
-no anime like graphics
character customization

Simply put, you're not going to find what you're looking for. Most f2ps are asian, ergo are going to have anime like graphics. You can drop the cash on Fallen Earth maybe? Very unique. Ryzom has some variety. Chronicles of Spellborn also has unique gameplay. Character customization? Depends on what you mean by that. Ultimately, the more specific you are, the less happy you are going to be with the answers.
Soul of the Ultimate nation is one of the most fun FTPs I've played. The action is good and the effects are pretty nice to look at also. It's one of those MMOs that are better than the description makes it sounds. Personally I'm not sure why it isn't rated a bit higher.
Sort of like when you read about a side scrolling game with plumbers. It doesn't sound that good till you play it and find out it's mario and fun is all it is.
Try it out I bet it'll draw you in for a while at least and it's free so nothing lost.

this looks interesting. ill give it a try.
some one on another site told me to check out perfect world or wurm... anyone here have an opinion on those two?
I tried out Wurm for a day... it has a really cool feature that lets you dig and build, but there isn't any customization of characters, and I'm not too sure about an underlying story, though I only played on the free server. As far as realism, it looks really, really good.
