Is release date realistic?

Just wondering if those of you with more knowledge of DnL than me think that the current release date of end of April is realistic?

The game will be delayed to Xmas, or even later.
I'm thinking summer of this year myself.
shame about the delay. Only other mmorpg i'm looking forward to is RV and that will probably be delayed also.
Maybe time to take a break from mmorpgs until DnL (or RV) release.
Well, it hasn't actually been announced that there will be a delay. It could just be the NDA, and people just assume that the lack of information means the game isn't close to being done. I'm gunna guess the game will be out from May to Augest. Somewhere in there.
No chance for april. Zero, forget it, etc. I would be surprised if it has a good release in 2005.
You should look at a release date as a "Second Beta" date. The first beta is where all the fanatical fans breeze around in the game opting for changes and finding massive bugs and exploits. Then the "real" game starts at some specified date ("goes gold", usually as a sign to their investors that all's well), and you get the early adopters who are all despondant about some other MMORPG that recently failed or has gone wonky (there's always one). These then see immediate holes in the logic of this new MMORPG and exploit them. When patched, these unwitting "Beta 2 / Gold Release testers" all rant and complain that they have been nerfed and the game is dying and leave. At this point, the game is finally fixed and a major patch which implements all those things that were promised in the first years and not delivered in time to save the game is implemented (think: an economy, massive lag fixes, rewritten chat system, a combat system). This happens 6-12 months after the hype has shifted to some other new, upcoming game. It's a whole migratory cycle. Pity, really - I'm still looking forward to this game, as I have been for a good year and a half.

The progress of the beta should be a good indication of how realistic the April 30th release date is.
I think most of you know of the plans to invite another 5000 beta testers in November and another 10000 in December last year. This never happened as you should know. This 'delay' should be indication enough of how close the release really is.
I think we'll see a new date come when it gets close to the end of April, maybe we'll even have to wait until after this years E3 before they give a new date.

I'm new to the title, saw some screenies and must confess it's among the best things I've seen in a while.
Give it as much as it needs to be perfect.
I'd say late summer or early fall of this year would be a more accurate date, but then again information on the beta testing seems to be top secret at this point so it's hard to really gauge how close they are to an official release date. They don't plan to do an open beta, but if I remember correctly they have yet to do a stress test for the server so perhaps when word leaks of a stress test and a majority of the community gets an invite we could say within a month of that date would be fair for a proper release.
I dont mind wating.
If they even put half the stuff they are sugesting (and as i have read there is already more than 110% more game mechanics than anyother MMO) It will make all other mmo's cry home to mommy.

I forgot about that... Well Than I will say somewhere between July and October. Hmm I guess other parts of the world use a different calander system too. I will work on that one.
