Shamen Or Mage

well i want to pick a charecter dat does magic and can fite....

And ive herd that mages are well crap lol are shamens any better?

Which should i pick? I want to play the game and occasionally do some pvp.

    Shamans and Mages are great, but I prefer Mage. You can create your own food, and teleport on command. The only bad thing is you can only wear clothe, but that is with both of them (I think).  If you dicide to go to Alliance, choose Paladin. They can rez, heal and buff good plus wear all types of armour. But pally are defensive, you seem like you want offensive. Choose mage in my choice. image

    2. Shamans can wear leather from lvl 1, and at lvl 40 wear mail.

    If this is your first character then I would advice you to play Shaman, since they can do a little bit of everything(heal, melee, nuke) and are easier to play then mages imo.

    Mages are fun too though ^^ why not just play both? I have 4 alts myself so why not? :P

    what exactly can a shamen do that a mage cant??

    Shaman can do a good melee dps, heal & rez(even himself), a bit of tanking, a bit of nuking, get a travel form at lvl 20 and some other fancy stuff.

    Mages are most known for their best AoE spells, high burst ranged damage, have a lot of kiting abilities, nice CC spell and get a teleport to 2 major cities at lvl 20 and some other fancy stuff.

    Mages are fun, but if you are looking for a class that can fight and do magic, you'd probably like the shaman better. If you like a pet class, you might try being a warlock instead of either of those.

    If you are just starting, I think a shaman would be a better starter character than a mage. Sometimes it takes a little finesse to play a mage, particularly if you intend to solo. Just an observation, YMMV.

    lol ok... alot of abreviation image but i fink ive got the general idea lol shamen it will be then! now to wait for the delivery of the game got it off ebay yesterday image

    errrrr well its a UK version so i think that makes its an EU version lol.image
