This is going on my to get list. The box art looks awesome
this game dont' worth a montly subscription. failed
Good thing it's not subscription based.
Either is AoC:)
Honestly, they have a reasonable price-point for seeing what this game is about. With the first 50-hours free, thats about a month of free game-play for me right off the mark.
There will always be debates about what constitutes a better payment plan suited for every mmo. But with the rich content and broadly implemented game-play of faction vs faction they have planned, more so than any other third-person shooter, especially CrimeCraft and Global Agenda, its worth a look for those like myself that aren't on this entitlement kick of expecting everything for free; even though the first month of game-play is free-to-play, it seems.
And, the artwork looks great too
crimecraft has some awesome artwork too =p(its actually not that bad of a game either and its free)
Yes it is.
"Once your game time is up, you have flexibility to top up your action game time from as little as $6.99 (£5.59, €6.29) for an additional 20 hours, while more frequent players can switch to a 30-day unlimited package for only $9.99 (£7.99, €8.99) with discounts available for 90 and 180 days."
This is a good pricing model, not really expensive for the unlimited access.
But, considering they will certainly add a real-money shop ... this is becoming harder to balance
If they dont add a cash shop, then, it's perfect!
The sub fee is $10.00 for 30 days of unlimited gameplay.
or you pay for time or play free in the social areas. it s amix of subscription and ftp in a way
I haven't been following the game... Time for me to do some digging!
I think I'll wait until open beta.
Crime craft never looked at good as this, but it still looked okay, but it sucked. i just hope this isnt another crimecraft.
I'm not even sure why this game is labeled as an MMO at this point. Even the developers refuse to call it an MMO. It is a third person shooter with a lobby system. Each zone holds a set number of people but, you are only actively engaged with 2-16 at any given time. -shrug- Whatever, it is going to fall into the same niche as Global Agenda and Crime Craft.
It's more of an MMO than games like DDO and Guild Wars. There are no private instances, it's all open world. The only difference between this and other MMOs is that the zones (districts) have a cap at 100 players. Lots of MMOs actually have less than 100 players per zone.
When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.
The funny thing is, I'm having fun in games like this (and Global Agenda, though I haven't tried Crime Craft). Screw technical definitions - call it whatever you want, I only care how good it is.
Hey Jyiiga! Welcome to MMORPG.com. Do you still hang-out over at IGN's boards?
oh wow, unlimited gameplay, how nice of them
so you want peopel to play this game because you can change you characters look? what about a little thing called.....gameplay?
lol I guess its as much of an mmo as MAG is then
That little thing called an NDA is still in place. I'm sure there are plenty of people ready to rip it a new one or praise it when it is lifted.
Looks like the female police officer is a bit 'out of uniform' don't you think? XD

I thought APB was going to be massively overrated, but then I watched the latest trailer. Keeping an eye on this game, promises to be interesting.
thank you and yes i would love to say a lot about the game but i cant but what i can say is that i do love the fact that you can make the character look the way you want but as for gameplay it is just as good as any other third person shooter but it is a mmo and i know alot of people are goin to bash the game because they were getting killed alot or whatever but anyone will say that about a game they suck at i am just happy this game is player-skill based not gear based and i know that is all i can say with out breaking NDA
This game has some great potential -- I can't wait. And the pricing model, while confusing at first, is brilliant. They just better do a better job of explaining it since people aren't real sure what to make of it.
