Starting a EQII play group
I'm thinking about going back to EQII as its a wonderful game and has a lot to offer in a multitude of different play styles. However everytime I try to go back I end up leaving because I cant find any one to group with at the lower levels. So anyone here interested in starting a group to level through the game together?

I've still got my one man guild on oasis server I basically gave up trying to get any kind of steady group together for eq2 over a year ago. No one seems interested in just casually exploring the content or those that do already have some sort of static group and have no desire to do anything outside of that. The rest seem to be on the raiding treadmill and that's not a play style that works for me but more power to them if that is what they like.
So I jump in and out of the game as the mood hits me but it's basically another single player game to me. I'm not the type of player that wants a group to follow around all the time either. I basically look to other players when I either get stuck on a quest or want to run an instance and I would gladly help anyone that I encounter with the same.

If you can't find a group make your own. thats what i do, Just finished Wailing Caves in Common lands and Black Burrow in Anotnica with lvl 13-18 group. Wiped the whole place clean.

That seems to be exactly what hes trying to do.
I also would like to get involved in this. It is the last MMORPG I have left to try. I've heard so many things that interest me (amount of content/pve, interesting skills and classes, original pvp), but also so many bad things (SOE, lack of people in the early levels). I am going to install the trial on my computer on monday. I'm generally available from 12:30pm CST onwards if that works from the OP or anyone else.
I could be interested too. I've done the trial a few times, but always gave up because there was nobody to play with. Let us know here on which server you guys roll, as well as your playtimes

I dont care about sever all that much. However I'd perfer a well populated one so AB is where I would lean. My play time is ussally around 3-11pm EST on days I don't work.

Almost picked up EQ2 and the expansion the other day for like $40... still might later down the road

EDIT: Decided I am going to be a Troubadour or a Cleric. I always like being support, but not sure if I want to go the heal route or the buff/crowd-control route.

AB = Antonia Bayle = American Server, you can join it even if you have an EU version of EQ2, thats one thing SOE did right. I'd rejoin to take part in this, however, most of my characters are above 30 and I honestly don't feel like leveling again. I have a ranger at 44 and would rather pick up from there so I guess thats me out of the picture.
Yeah I know, I have a few characters on both eu and us servers. But eu(like me) timezone is really hard to get to work when playing with us so thats why I'm wondering

It could be in EQ2 Forums, but then less people would read it and join I guess. Mostly the EQ2 vets who are less likely to reroll once more with strangers.
Questions btw : does your race/starting area matters for what we plan, or we dont care and can anyway join all together relatively early ? And when New Halas gonna be released... I always wanted to level a Froglok in EQ2 but I hate the old starting zone they're compelled to level in atm (is that Qeynos or something like that..) ?

I doesn't matter too much what city you start in the only thing is the good/evil thing might make it a little more diffucult if we are opposite, just as far as towns and stuff but I always play arasi so I have to start in darklight woods

This sounds amazing. I would love to be a part of a general leveling/fun group for EQ2. When ever you guys choose to start up PM me or post on this thread, I can't wait to fire it up again, it was a great game and now with actual people to group with it'll be much better!

Well if you have a flexible job it could work playing with us people, but when I go to bed around 11 that is around 5 in the us, aka I go to bed when people get home from work and play. Sucks because ab is the server worth playing on
I also just started my EQ2 sub back up, mainly to play the new patch whenever it hits this month. I've just been having a hard time deciding on a character and server to stay on. I'll roll one on AB and hook up with you guys, hopefully that will seal the deal. I'll repost once I have my character made.
