If were to reduce, a $2 increment wouldn't be very convincing at all.
How dare you present him with logic! Don't you understand? He fights epic fights, in epic games, with epic toons....eats epic food and takes epic dumps! He has more e..pic..icity...ness in his little finger than you have in your whole unepic body! - ChicagoCub
personaly i'd like it to be free but they have already lowered subscription costs IF you buy it for mutliple months. the 1 yea sub ended up being like 10$ a month or something.
I bought two copies of the game a while back and only made it out of Tortage. Have been thinking about resubscribing them lately, but the monthly fee reduced by $2.00 wouldn't of pushed me over the edge to a subscription. Hell, I don't think lowering it $5.00+ would, really.
Hopefully the expansion goes well and I'll stop back by, tho.
Lowering the price from 14.99 to 12.99 sounds extremely pointless. Less money for Funcom to expand the game's content for what in return?..an extra candy bar a month?
Correct me if I'm wrong but if you buy a 6 month or 12 month the price is reduced from 14.99 to 12.99 or 9.99 for a year. Something like that. I'm to lazy to look at the moment.
If you enjoy the game then I think that is the way to go. It has worked for me and with the extra money I bought a toothbrush and invested it in the stock market. (sarcasm)
What the hell are you broke bastards going to do when game subs are $24.99 a month...
Here's a tip... get a better paper route...
It has nothing to do with being broke, it has to do with stimulating sales. Though two bucks would make little difference IMO. Maybe 9.99 even then it's not much different (the price of two mountain dews).
Of course most would prefer it to be as cheap as possible. As it's human nature to support a "deal".

The longer answer is that games have a very low price elasticity of demand. At least up to 15/month where it suddenly turns viciously sharp. People expect to pay that sum and have been conditioned over a long time that it's what it costs. Lowering price below 15 will therefore have very little impact on the number of subs, while increasing it over 15 may send people fleeing.

$2.00 is hardly incentive to come back.

Promote what you love instead of bashing what you hate.
IMO it the file size not the monthly fee that hurts . man that files a beast.

BestBuy has gametime cards for $14.99 for 60 days - hard to beat that price wise.
