Game like Mythos
So ever since Mythos shut down I've been trying on and off to find a game to replace it. I really want a good fast paced isometric action rpg like Mythos was. However, every decent game i find like that is generally a little slower paced. I'm trying battle of immortals atm, it's ok, but too slow paced. I'm looking for something with smoother action and faster paced, more like Diablo or Mythos. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Torchlight. It was made by the same people. Unfortunately it only has single player at the moment but I believe there is a community mod in the works that allows lan and internet play.

lol yea I've followed torchlight since Runic was formed pretty much, and it's awesome, can't wait for the mmo version. As I said I'm playing battle of immortals already, I'm looking for somthing a little smoother and faster paced, more like diablo.
Mytheon maybe? I dunno, not a lot of mmo's of that style. Try a Titan Quest mod maybe?
yea tried mytheon today, a little sluggish compared to what im looking for, plus the whole summoning thing is kinda weird. To be honest I don't have high hopes for finding anything like what I want until either Hanbitsoft brings Mythos back over here or the Torchlight mmo comes out, but I just thought I'd give this a try. Still looking for suggestions, any Mythos players find anything like it?
Battle of immortals, great game and you will find it entertaining at higher levels btw im lvl 33 magus in it on west server 1. Just give it time, it just hit OB and its fast paced already, i kill almost anything in 2 hits. Views will be optional later, graphics, updates, and many more thing, its a great game just give it time

Battle of Immortals plays almost nothing like Mythos or Diablo. They are all "isometric" and click-to-move, but thats the only real similarity BOI has with the others. Its a typical eastern mmo style, half the mobs aren't even aggro. The combat is not fast paced and yea you kill everything with ease, I'm lvl 31 and havent even gone past half health. I've also never had to heal in a fight. AOE attacks clear almost a whole screen its really stupid. Oh and you have an ingame bot. The game isn't even gonna hold me over till Xsyon, which is a completely different type of game. But yea even after Xsyon, I still want a fast paced isometric mmo. I don't think any of you guys had the good fortune of playing Mythos or you would never suggest BOI as a replacement.
Hmm the only games i can think of, some sort like mythos is, Erebus - Travia Reborn and Cronus... but yeah, i play Battle of the immortals right now, nice game, all i can say

gonna say this one more time and hopefully I can get a different response... Battle of Immortals is NOTHING like Mythos. I assume most did not get to play Mythos so think Diablo. (all monsters aggro and FAST PACED). Another thing, I can't stand "Isometric" games with cooldowns on skills. It makes the game feel so fucking sluggish. The cooldown should just simply be built into the attack animation (much like Diablo and Mythos =P).

I'm sad I could never play Mythos, once I heard about it... it was already gone. If I recall correctly it was a project developped by Bill Roper and his studio Flagship just for fun, while they were working on Hellgate London. Then it disappeared with the Flagship team.
And I'm afraid there isnt anything like this to play atm, or I haven't found it. Torchlight is fun and very well made, but just solo. I tried Battle of the Immortals and I agree : it's nothing like Diablo, rather a typical eastern MMO with static fields of mobs in a 3D iso view.
So for now, waiting for Diablo 3, and the MMO version of Torchlight... there is still Diablo 2, and I guess that's all

Mythos is allegedly not dead yet, it's in the hands of the Redbana team who are keeping it alive. Allthough their regulars are complaining no news are coming out.

Actually Red Banana is no longer doing mythos, same company behind it(Hanbitsoft) but a different dev team will be doing T3Fun i believe they are called. But yea they haven't even got a website up yet they are still using Red Banana's for the English version. The Korean version is about to enter another closed beta on the 13th till about the 26th i believe. I think it's their 4th closed beta so hopefully they move to open beta soon after and start re-localizing to english. I really don't get why they didn't just finish the game in english and then localize to Korea, I mean it had so much done. Though I am really glad to hear they stuck with the overworld that FlagShip had just started on instead of reverting back to the instanced version. I just hope they kept shadowland server too =P (I love my FFA PvP)
Pretty old but MU online fits the fast paced isometric description you're looking for.
