Kotaku is reporting that LucasArts president Darrell Rodriguez has departed the company, along with several members of his executive team.
Rodriguez was the successor to former LucasArts president Jim Ward, who resigned in early 2008.
Lucasfilm's Jerry Bowerman will replace Rodriguez until the company can find a full-time replacement.

Ugh, looks like the curse of EA might be just to much for even Bioware.
Well, now that their new Deathstar is nearly complete they have no reason to hang around and try to destory our will by pumping out crapy Star Wars games anymore. Instead they will just blow us all into space dust.

Is that Jim Ward, the guy who used to work for TSR?

God I wish they'd get Lawrence Holland back.
Word is he resigned over a large "internal" stink connected to Bioware's new StarWars MMO. Time will tell, or hopefully it won't :O!

I wonder if this will have any effect on the release date of Star Wars ToR. Its about the only thing that I can imagine he would feel so strongly he has to resign over it.
This seemed to come out of nowhere, the only thing I could think that would spark this, would be something over ToR, but it seemed that was going well :
I'm with you there brother! Oh do I miss the glory days of LucasArts! X-Wing Alliance 2 would be the best thing ever.
Wouldn't surprise me if they re-hired Nancy McIntyre to fill the positoin.

Don't concern me, just make sure TOR is polished at release.
These presidents don't seem to stay very long in their position. I wonder what they move on to, or if they are just being persuaded to resign? I would think president of LA would be a good gig..
Gamasutra reported this:
"The company confirmed the departure to consumer weblog Kotaku, which reported that several other execs exited alongside Rodriguez. The reasons for his departure are unknown."
I wonder what the dispute really is.
They must have heard about the openings at Infinity Ward.
