I knew fileplanet.com does it always 1st keeps it reserved for subscribers so people will pay for it and afterwards opens for all

LOL they can't give them away. FunCom's Conan will never recover from the horrid launch. In this genre you get one chance and if you blow it - that's it.

It's more like that the expansion goes live in 4 days, why bother playing the beta now.

I dont know what planet you live on, but Funcoms Conan recovered from their horrid launch a long time ago.
If you mean that "recovering" is becoming a "wow killer" and be the meanest of all the MMOs out there, then of course no. That will never happen to AoC. But right now its a good game with a solid player base. As far as I can see there are only a few P2P MMOs that are more popular (wow, lotro, eve, and aion)
Not bad for a game that "everybody" said would be shut down within 1 year after launch.
So for those who want a beta key, go get them. I couldnt be bothered. I am enjoying leveling my toon.

Teala hates AoC with a passion for some reason. I see her jump on every post about it and slamming it even though she hasn't played in forever. Ditto, The game is great. I didn't play at launch because I didn't have the right system specs, but I finally have a good enough PC and I am loving this game, it really is great. Like he said a few other games are more popular, but this game definitely has a solid following. My guild has 13+ on at any given time, and 20-30+ on during peak hours. The game is NOT dead. Its gaining momentum.
ONLY available to SUBSCRIBERS. Meaning you have to pay membership to be able to get a key.

Thanks for the heads up...i saw this on FP the other day, wouldnt let me get a key with my regular sub....but today I was able to grab a key!
Don't ever remember paying anything to become a member over at fileplanet, but have an account with them from somewhere... Logged in, got key, and downloading as I'm typing...

Always negative - never anything constructive or useful to contribute.... a few more years he(she?) can ride on the big rides at the amusement park.

1500 downloads since this morning so far.
Well got my key earlier but I didn't download the RotGS client lol. Already have the regular client D/L and installed and don't know If I want to d/l another 15gb hehe.

just got a key but any1 know if i have to download the whole 15gb client even if i got the regular AoC client on my comp already?
the beta client is completely seperate from the retail client so yes you need to install it even if you have the retail client on your pc.
This is not to be confused with the expansion itself which you can patch onto your retail client through the option menu in the patcher.
LMAO! This is so not true...I praise a game when they deserve it - which hasnt happened lately due to the poor showing as of late by such games as DF, STO, Aion, FE, et, etc. Just read my latest blog and you will see. Mount and Blade is one of my all time most favorite games - ever! But oh wait...what is this? I give their new game a low rating? How can that be? Yes I did. Why? Because I tell it like it is. I do not candy coat my opinions.
Oh and I do play AoC...Tyrannis server - active account.
Just because I may be harsh in my criticism does not mean I do not play it - like WoW. There are some aspects of WoW i truly hate, like the gear-centric game play. Despise it. Said so many times on these boards and in my blogs. So to those that seem to like to attack me for my opinions - take your blinders off. I am sorry I am not all ponies, sunshine, and lollipops...never have been, never will be.
