Your good and bads on Starcraft 2

Good Stuff

1. Easy to learn hard to master. If you think you are that good think again. There is always someone out there better than you.

2. Seperated leagues- Copper, Bronze, Silver and Gold. You play with people with similar rankings. Days of smurfing are gone.

3. Similar to WoW, it can be played on almost anything today and even machines 2-3 years ago too.

4. Music and Immersion in the maps are great.

5. Play it your way, solo or with a team you have alot of options here.

6. SC fans want to know the story of SC2. The singleplayer will be great.

Bad Stuff

1. Because it is too easy to learn you can get pretty bored easily because it plays exactly like it did years ago.

2.  Not much differen't from the original. Yes they added some new things but if you look at what they subtracted compared to what they added it really isn't that much of a difference maker.

3. Hackfest round 2 folks. Lets see how Blizzard plans to combat hacking.

    What did they subtract?

    Good

    • graphics and sound/music are most likely alright

    • balanced gameplay (I guess)

    Bad

    • typical RTS, nothing new

    • split in three. to buy all campaigns, you have to pay three times the price

    • too much micro-management (I like games like Supreme Commander more)

Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)

Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)

    - Good

    The Sequel itself

So much hard work to tell the games story

Working so hard to level out the game

    - Bad

Annoying fans who haven't played the first game and hyping up SC2

    Hackers ruining the game online

    No LAN Support

The flipside of the game being able to be played on 2-3 years old machines is that the gfx are crap, for todays standards (like WoW).

Ehm maybe 1 of the posters on this thread have played the beta obviously.

    The good:

    Still the same old Starcraft.

    The bad:

Gets boring for new players (probably).

When I started beta a week ago I was sure I would get into Gold, silver at the very least.  I got in copper after winning just 2 of my 5 placement matches.  My Micro is also none exisiting limited to control groups and the occasional ctrl on a building but I still always use the mini maps to go it my builds and click on the items to build things.

But most importantly I feel I belong in copper, its challenging and I feel like I am getting better currently #8 in my division where I started on #36.  Win/lose ratio is about 60%/40%.  Out of my 20-some matches I have never felt I was playing against a Pro or player far above me so I think for copper atleast the league system works.

    On my HD5870 + E8400 + 4gig + win7 64bit the game flys as you might expect on ultra @ 1920x1080.

I would like a division chat box or atleast see if players in your division are online.

In russian and also I believe in latin America the pricing is slightly different that every where else.

    Prices in USD

Buy SC2 for $60 and get unlimited Bnet access like the rest of world and play on EU server

    or

Buy SC2 for $30 and get 12 months of bnet access - play on special RU only server

Buy SC2 for $15 and get 4 months of bnet access - play on special RU only server

If opting for the $30 and $15 versions when your time is up you either pay an upgrade fee to get unlimited access just like the $60 version or pay a monthly fee to access multiplayer on bnet 2.0

This is a means to tackle piracy and I think is a good model for countries where $60 is a lot of cash.

Looks just as good as anything out there currently ... if you have the machine for it.#

But it's all subjective I guess.

So, basically you are saying there is nothing bad about the game right?  Annoying fans can get hyped up over any game they wish.  And their hype has nothing to do with the quality of the game, so that point is moot.  Again, hackers don't have anything to do with the game itself.  I'm sure they will be taken care of.  And who cares about LAN support?  Get your buddies to load up battlenet and join a game together, that's not very difficult.  So all of your bad points really have nothing to do with the actual game.  Interesting post.
