Hey ho people

First i thought. Wtf AV really wants to do something to increase the fun in the game and show people what fun you can have in DF, but instead we get a failure which ive never so far (10+ years of mmorpg).

About at the page 10 the fun starts ... i have to admit it was very entertaining. Especially the reaction of AV at page 13-14.

I hope at least you enjoy in one way the event.

 

PS: This is why ill remember you for a long time.

    Hello all,
    We were pleased to see that many people had a good time with the Welcome Back to Darkfall event. There was, however, a small mix-up with the time. We'd like to apologize for this and will be compensating by repeating this event on Wednesday 20:00 GMT +2 (this time the real GMT +2) on the EU server.
    Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this caused and hope that many of you will join us on Wednesday for some more naval fun!

    You forgot to mention, how they ignored the fact that most of the ships were captured by vets which slaughtered the newbs or how GMs didnt give any gun powder or repair shards to the crew which after was bashed by vets.

    Im going only to read ;) and hope next event will be aswell so funny as this one .... at least the zerg clans which got already everything gained their boats! Yay thats the spirit to atract new players! Slaughter them by semi god vets ! :D

    That post won the thread. IF this is the message AV tried to tell to the players who came back, then this is the best way to hurt the game even more.

    Event was lame, no questions about it, and won't help DF in long run.

    But I don't think that it played out as intended - it was just comedy of errors, with terrible communication, confused GMs and top clans wanting to get advantage even if it means ruining fun for everyone else. Exactly like early DF.

    Interesting because in human lands the "top clans" actually made sure the boats sailed off without a hitch. Typical darkfall eh!

    A failure you have not seen in 10 years because other MMORPGs are wayyyy to predictable.

     

    You never know what you are going to get in Darkfall . .. it is what makes the game more exciting than other games. Hopefully you have had good times as good as the bad times were bad, otherwise you are missing out but if you stick with it, you should see good days more often than bad days. No matter how developed your character becomes and how much work you put into the game, you will always have losses and really shitty days, so you had better get used to that if you are going to stick around.

    The Alfar boat sailed without a flaw the second time, and the only sad thing was the number. We had 20 players on boat made to hold ten times that number. We met the human boat and sank after a fierce gunfight. I`ve had better shipbattles with 60 vs 60, but it was ok enough.

     

    The really good part was I found an empty brigantine a bit later and that boat is now in my bank. Fuck fuck fuck, I really hate you grinders now. We could have had the best pvp mmo in a decade, but you insist we should have 95% pve in darkfall.
